Hola mis amigos!!!

I have been away for quiet a while; I was playing “the desperate single house lady”, excuse elta7reef! I needed to just SLEEP and that’s exactly what I did, I completely shut down “my” system and surrendered to my bed the last coupla days which made it really tough getting’ up this morning… Socially speakin’

My duties as the house lady came down to cleaning, clothes folding and cooking! YUP that was the utmost excitement during the 5 days off short holiday *wish I can take more days off*, bas aheeeeem thing was the cooking. I went to visit one of our colleagues last Tuesday, another baby came into this “beautiful” world, afterwards I head to Sultan where I bought ingredients for the recipe that I was gonna prepare next day:

Fillet hamour, Baby shrimps,Veggies (bell pepper, lemon, coriander, spring onion, mix of stir fry frozen veggies),PastaCondiment & Potatoes o cheese. I wanted to make Lemon hamour (I dunno what it’s called), prawn veggie noodles and another side dish since my cooking went all rusty after stopping for a while. I very much enjoy the time I spend inside the kitchen and creating mad recipes o trying out different combinations of recipes (very girly like huh)! Elmohem, I dedicated an hour and a half for the same, the noodles were done, the fish was the last thing I finished, the joke is, I don’t like eating fish that I cook myself unlike eating it from restaurants and that’s really weird bas the number one rated dish was the potatoes slices with cheese (saucy with milk) they sell the same in Betty Crocker boxes which is easier to whip up in 15 minutes! Second dish was the noodles, last but not least the fish (since all my family members don’t like fish that much, my brother was soooo satisfied with the dish and praised my work by asking: “mafi more?!” It was fine all in all, as I ain’t an expert bel sea food bas practice makes perfect they say.

Talkin’ about food, Man I cannot stop myself from munchin’ on Skittles o Jelly Beans (YUMMMMMMMYYYY)

Politically speakin’:
On the other hand, with the Israeli terror on Lebanon, I am forced to keep an eye on the events along with my dad who tapes the news and calls me to watch. Ok, first of all Hugo Chavez; I know that the dude is weird and Venezuela witnessed lots of problems from him and he ain’t that popular there but the man was in an interview on AlJazeera and I swear I was watchin’ and I went like: “Is the water “spiked”?!” my dad looks at me like huh! He said stuff that no other Arab leaders dare to say and was blunt about his opinion on the US and the whole situation in the Middle East, which honestly makes you respect this person, when all of the Arab leaders keep quiet and play the part of the spectators in all of this… Viva Chavez!! Whatever me!

Second interestin’ thing was a news piece aired on Al Arabeya on a Lebanese woman going back to Lebanon, into Bent Jbeil to save her dad, who was left there without food or water or medical care; That was very touching and my dad went like (to my mom): “That’s why girls are better than boys”! What would the world be without the “jens elna3em” we make it a better place.

Thirdly, Al Manar aired an Israeli newsman bashing a cabinet member (on their tv!) calling them liars and this was hilarious.. topic was the Hezballa’s military capabilities..

Cooking hamour is easy. Take a piece dip it in lemon, garlic, butter, salt and pepper. Fry and serve with rice on the side or boiled veggies.
