I was assigned the task of buying a fancy corporate gift for a high level person in some ministry, elmota3araf 3aleih = flowers n’ chocolate and mostly requested Patchi or Godiva; I took the money and was going to buy the chocolate when my mom called and recommended a shop called Bateel, in Marina… I’ve only heard of it and how luxurious the products are. Elmohem, had my regular lunch then head to the shop, ppl. It is amazing! I loved it cuz it’s simply chic, not that expensive (not all items), nouveau .. what more do you want me to say! La seriously, I recommend the shop and I wish I took pictures bas I will only add their link but it ain’t like visiting the shop at all, you have to go to Bateel – this is the Asian site. I bough a Mahogany box, filled with the fanciest chocolate date which was over KD100 (I know it’s too much but it is good and worth it), Maron Glace and Date Jam, simply delightfully heavenly delicious!
P.S: Why do we tend to consume too much coffee at work?! I find myself having no less than 5 fanajeen of Turkish coffee and sometimes it’s double the shot when they get it in a paper cup!
P.P.S: Why does it feel like days are moving quickly, it was only Saturday yesterday! P.P.P.S: I want a souvenir from Scotland *wink* P.P.P.P.S: I’m thinking of tonight’s movie and the size of the popcorn pack that I wanna buy! P.P.P.P.P.S: My laptop is acting reallllly weird, sounds and the shutting off by itself has gone too far; again, I did that to the poor thing..

Before they opened that branch here in Kuwait my brother used to get us Bateel dates from Dubai. The first time I tried their dates I thought this was the best dates I’ve ever had. I think I checked out their store last year. And you’re so right about the place, it’s very fancy, good choice.
