What would you do if??

This happened yesterday and I was pissed off from the whole situation:
In a known “Five Stars” hotel which name not disclose; we went to have lunch as it has become a habit, elmohem, we were seated and the service was slow – I mean SLOW, by the time we had the menu, we were starving and it wasn’t even crowded! Then, they come to take the order (appetizer n’ main course) – we again had  to wait for over 15 minutes for a salad n’ labne! I asked: “wein elappetizer!? They are too slow and we better check, because I don’t want to have it with the main course, which was fish”, we didn’t ask. Suddenly, both were served ! I was kinda pissed because as far as I know, that’s not how things are done.
We had the fish sent back till we finish then in between, I needed a spoon o I had to move my behind to get my own freggin’ spoon people, ok no problem so far… Then, we needed ketchup, so the waiter opens the cabinet which fell apart as we were watching; There were no tissues on the table, fa at that time the person in charge of the restaurant was passing by o asked if things were ok, the reply was: “khedmatkom ba6e2a! o mafi Kleenex” – “monsieur, ne7na fondo2 khams njoum o maben7a6 kleenex 3al 6awala, manna 2a3deen besalet afra7 elkhaleej menshan en7a6 3elbet Kleenex 3al 6awla…. Kel el five star 2otels elma3roofeen bya3melo heik o ne7na ben7a6 hal fo6a o heidy beyesta3melowa tayemsa7o temmom badl Kleenex.” I end this with a full stop because the guy was seriously addressing us like this!! As if we are idiots or jerks who never went to a hotel or restaurant before! He leaves, my brain was boiling because I wanted to give him a piece of my mind but respected my companion, so I made it clear what the guy meant. After exactly five minutes, he grasped what was happening- called the same guy and asked him to open the cabinet and the guy had this “WHT” look on his face and when it fell apart, the question asked was: “Is this a 5 star hotel!!”  and that was when hell broke loose!
 

What would you do to this guy?? Is my attitude justified?? How would you deal with such situation??

    I would complain, write a very very strong worded letter….mo cuz of the slow service….cuz of the rudeness of that guy. What happened to the customer is always right?!

    A 5 star hotel doesn’t necessarily mean a 5 star restaurant :/

    Of all the good restaurants I’ve been to, if you’d ask something the answer would always be, “right away” or “certainly”.

    The hotel may be 5 stars, but the restaurant certainly isn’t! Of all the places I’ve been, whenever we’d ask for something the answer was always, “right away!”.

    Oh my God! Dunno how you handled that. I am totally impatienct, especially with dumb and stupid people. Chan sawweit’ha salfa wallah! Dunno exactly how bs I will! Yet, I think I am used to that all. Most of the times the fault is on the waiter.

    Girl, wow … you should kick his ass then report him to his senior.
    I have only been to a handful of restaurants here in Bahrain, and sara7a the service is exceptional. The waiters are friendly, the food comes to you fast and it is still hot and the taste is superb, and every now and then the waiter comes to you to see if everything was ok.

    Wish they did that in Kuwait, hope the kuwaiti restaurants pick up on the trend of keeping their customers happy.

    Dil3a, I know, that’s how I felt but I was acting like a lady and I wanted to give the guy on his head bas ebhodou2 bas he got it baddddddd from my companion… Welcome here!

    DR, Yeah, supposedly, The customer’s always right but for some reason and I personally think the guy’s new; he wanted to “educate” us about etiquette! As for the letter, I think that’ll be done.. I have n internet at home, fa am always late with replies :) Sowwwyyy

    3beid, Hmm… I dunno, it’s in the hotel o ma3rouf and in our case, he just wanted to argue with us…
    And it’s ok :)

    Cece, I am sooooo impatient bas the problem was I didn’t wanna make a scene at all, ya3ny because of the place bas believe me, what happened later was BIG, he was gonna cry..

    Zizo, that’s also manly o walla walla if my companion didn’t calm me down, I would have made a scene bas he was thrown, with the membership card of the hotel :) Welcome here – mabrouk eldivorce, as i read on Tinki’s blog! I still can’t figure out - it is a joke right???!!!!!!?!?! :$

    Frac, most of the places we go to, even regular restarants have good service and waiters, but one never expects that a hotel like that deals in such manner.. WE EVEN PAID THE BILL AFTERWARDS!!! I mean, I expected them to say it’s on us.. compliment anything even…

    Bloo… he was the restaurant manager!! I didn’t read that post, will do so. Welcome here..
