For the last two coupla days, me n’ mom found ourselves totally hooked on Egyptian movies; We normally watch a coupla shows (English) and that’s it, but this time we changed the channel and ever since we took that dare move, we were like zombies in front of the TV.

My mom’s Egyptian so I ain’t making fun or anything bas that’s something I noticed. I hear this phrase a coupla times “Hishek Feshek” and honest to God, almost all of the movies that we watched, had to have the hishek feshek scenes; a madi that works in the house dances, a student dances, doctora dances.. kollo dancing scenes which men associate the “female” with = Elset lazem ta3raf tor2os! Made me think, people say that Egypt is ras el fasad with this industry and all it reflects men elbelly dancers and the movies of people drinking o acting like jerks.. it’s not true bas this is what it reflect like when African American songs and movies constantly include sex, drugs, swearing, there was an ad that pissed me off, on apartments and the ad goes like: “insa el3orfy ya amen” so, it suggest that the prices of these apartments would help young people there not rush into this type of marriage which was declared official by Al Azhar lately..

The modern Egyptian movies on the other hand, saaaaaaame actors, similar storyline, boy meets girl and love story, songs aw a guy acting like Rambo and the dialogue sometimes is sooo lame and I honestly didn’t know whether to laugh or  bang my head on the bed banister! Bas I still like’em ! It’s like Indian movies you know; you can never have enough!
