Women of Today… your attention pls!
As a “modern”, liberated & independent female in our times; What is your biggest achievement? What more do you want from your country/ government / family / the entire world? What is your dream / goal?
All these questions turning round n’ round n’ round in my head without decisive answers. What made us the way we are now? Are we satisfied with what “women” have achieved throughout the past 10 – 20 years? Is the “independence” we keep calling out for suitable for us, Arab women and am not specifying religion? The impact of these social changes? Any damages that you think we should try to fix?!

Good point, whats with all the typos :P
I aint Arab, but I’d say women are coming a long way. You know, I was speaking to some one the other day and they were talking about how Kuwait is a sexist country, tilting in the favour of women.
I didnt add much, except that I added that at the end of the day, its male dominated. So that should equalize it, or does it?

LOL at the cartoons! Purgie, I kinda oppose this “liberation” to an extent bas cave women!? Fe mathal that says: “ya 6ekho ya esker mekho”, extremism in both cases is not necessary. Speaking from a religious point of view, a woman should have modesty and self respect before gaining that of others but at the same time, Islam has dignified her a lot. She has her status at home, Allah put down rules to give her pride and protect her but women nowadays think that being liberated & havening pride n’ dignity is equal to patryin’ all night and the weird way some girls dress (which is over in some cases) and faking their nature. The social changes and neglect of certain traditions have demised the women’s value to men that’s why (Sorry) guys nowadays view women as objects, a fun means of passing time and they go on from one to another. Some girls are innocent and have nothing to do with it and get lost in this vicious circle; Others know what they are doing hence, these are the Wickedly Smart!
I’m no saint but as a logical female in this twisted time, I wish I could hold the “cane from the middle” you know. I don’t wanna be viewed or marked as something that I am not and I don’t wanna lose my identity trying to mock others.. I wanna be convinced with what I am and not influenced by the surroundings.. Women all look the same.. fake n’ pretty!
Izzi, I can’t really help on that since I’ve never been or seen one before (I don’t want to a9lan) :$ but yeah that’s pretty yukhy n’ disturbing I recon (from a female point of view) and ya3ny isn’t it enough the way people walk around now!? They wanna go nude at beaches! Ya3ammy they can do that home!
BUG! Soooorry I was doing that fast but fixed :* geeze that’s embarrassing.. Kuwait, a sexist country and in favor of women? I dunno, don’t think so although they are opening up towards enrolling women in much bigger and significant roles yet, women here are strong and they’ll get what they want sooner or later :)
If men dominate in front of the whole society, inside the house women have the last word! There’s no more this “Si El Sayed” concept, the macho dominating man that we used to see in old Arabic movies which is no good but at the same time, I don’t wanna marry a man who is hmm..like a ring on my finger, I can turn around as I wish (lots of girls would) :)

May I just say something; modern women today are totally brainwashed. And I’m not just saying that coz I’m a typical Middle Eastern man who enjoys enslaving women for the fun of it. But the awful truth is, women are being manipulated by certain global forces…that have their specific agendas to destabilize society, and how do we destabilize society??? By creating dysfunctional families…as simple as that.
And BTW…keep this in mind, these agendas are all part of one big plan to exploit minorities by directing their fury and anger in a direction which will only benefit the puppet masters. “Discrimination for a minority is just as bad as discrimination against them.”
