7alal & 7aram
I just finished my weekly chores in the house besides getting rid of work load; I felt like having a whole cow (As one big fat juicy pieca steak!) fa I asked mom to order KFC n’ suddenly D’s image o voice (like audio flashback) popped in my head “7araaaaaaaam” he said, “bas I am hungry!” I replied in my thoughts!
Earlier this week o the one before we were discussing this issue; Where to go n’ have halal food in Kuwait? Some people are particularly meticulous when it comes to this issue. Halal as in how it was slaughtered (cattle walla chicken) and halal as in the religion of who prepares/cooks it. D was the first person to introduce this to me fa I was like: “How would you know the religion of the chef!?” I mean, you ain’t gonna walk in the kitchen n’ go like: “hey buddy, Muslim, Christian, Jew walla Hindu!?” he answered back saying it’s obvious, elma6a3am el Indian most of them are Hindu and since they are not min “ahl el kotob” = not Muslin, Christian or Jew fa 7aram fa we discarded places like Mughal Mahal (which I love) off of our places to eat at. Only place that we can eat at o Indian is Caesar and fish o shrimps is what he orders. That applies to everywhere else that doesn’t have the “7alal” sign.
Back to KFC, back in the states we hear n’ read a lot about inhuman methods of raising these poor creatures n how the means are prepared , same for McDonald’s. My argue here is the meat they bring ain’t from the States right? It’s Americana or something else akeiden 7alal – 6ale3 men balad Islamy! He has his doubts I say “Bismella” o dig in!
This shifts to another subject; the way they kill live cattle in both Muslim & non Muslim ; I often wondered about this- Do they use Gas to kill them? Walla some sort of poison that doesn’t effect human?! Walla a big guillotine with places for chicken walla cattle heads!? Walla put the animals in a room and wet the floor a bit, then use an uncovered wire to electrocute them!! That’s nuts! How do you they outside & how do they “mass butcher” them in our countries?!!? As for fish, in some countries, they use Bomb Fishing- D argued a lot till Blue Dress searched it up [ Article ] In this case, is fish 7alal!?
One more thing, if the animal itself is not butchered 7alal style, aren’t products derived from them are also considered not 7alal !? I just thought of Baskin Robbins!!!! HMMM! NO WAY JOSE! I ain’t givin’ that up!

Well if they say it’s Halal then why question them. That’s what my dad says. When I’m abroad I’m almost strictly on a veggie diet (soya burger, bean burger, fish etc.) but then again there are some restaurants that claim they have ‘halal’ meat/chicken and occasionally we’d eat from there, as long as they don’t sell alcoholic drinks. That’s how you know they’re saying the truth.
