“Ommy msafra o ha3mel 7afla!”

Not true of course! I truly hate goodbyes because its associated with the notion of “fear of the unknown”. Paranoid a bit? Yes, when it comes to travelling on planes or cars because of the accidents n’ so called “terrorism”; Again, death is inevitable and we’re all gonna go through it one day but it’s unimaginable when it concerns loved ones.
My parents are leaving the country tomorrow for around a month- less shway and that’s the second time, after last year’s Haj trip. I am used to this now, either my mom leaves with both my sisters o leave the guys here aw they both leave leaving the kids with me. I felt so upset last year because before they left to Haj my dad sat me down, handing all his cards, accounts & important papers – he said: “So if we don’t make it back, you have everything” sorta like a will if I could call. He did this today again and I gave him this “come on dad” stare, I said: “enshalla you’ll be back safe”..
Of course, I can’t stop thinking of the goodies mom will bring back (enshallah)!

I always love it when the whole family leaves and I’m home alone. Brings back the good memory of living all alone.
