Graphic Designing Professionally..
It’s time to get things goin’ with this designing issue. The next logical step was to get a one: one training, at least really get to know all the tools and functions and then talent would kick in. I ain’t a “book person”, if there is no interaction I won’t grasp things but that don’t mean am dumb! I just prefer to learn live and get the chance to inquire about things as someone is explaining.
Me & Blue searched our eye balls out for a decent institute for such courses, I just don’ wanna be in a place crowded with teenagers ( ain’t dissin’ you young ones but we need to be focused) walla guys (yes, with only female classes one can be more comfortable)-who would mess the training up. We needed a professional atmosphere to make sure that this doesn’t go down the drain. We were so fortunate when we started yesterday at this place and we are in total 7 females and one 14 or 15 years old kid. It was such a relief to meet our colleagues and get to know that these are the people who we’ll be stuck with for 2 months! We got an Adobe study book with a cd, which I loveeeee! Things started fine as the guy began with the basics.

I suggest you download adobe photoshop; and get a book on how to use it. The classes won’t teach you much in terms of graphic design. Graphic Design, like other forms of art, comes down to the person creating it .. you either got it or you don’t. :)

I got the video training o lessons n’ everythin’ besides being around designers and people who use the programs… It ain’t that i dunno how to use them since i get lazy practising o trying stuff (effects o tools) out bas I need to really know the appplications of each tool. Its a beginners class so we share info…
I know that creativity is the essence of desiging.

One of the things that helped me understand photoshop (et. al) are downloading templates/samples and seeing how people made them. The different layers/effects/fonts show you the capabilities of the programs.

Good luck. Bear in mind that those are just tools to implement your thoughts, they won’t improve your creativity unless you have the ability to improve it yourself.
