When appearances are everything….
Ok, besides the impossible heat & humidity out t here; There’s something new for me to rant about! We had to go to a studio for voice recording – for the company- It was soooooooooooooo hot, beyond hot & I was melting but work is work, gotta do your job!
We had this voice sample of a young lady, TV girls as I call them. Her voice is nice warm & welcoming and the last time I saw this girl, she was on a cover of a magazine and I couldn’t help myself think how good she looks now and how much she grew and that she looks nice & timid, little do I know that am the stupid one still with a mind of a baby and everyone around me grew too fast or more mature than me… yes that is bad to me.
She walks in & I couldn’t and I swear would not have known her if she passed by me in the street! MAKEUP works miracles people! Miracles…. Nothing was there, no lences, no eyebrows, no good hair, no outfit… I was stunned! I was checking her all the time saying it’s impossible.. the difference is huge and the personality is different! My god.. how we are controlled by appearances and let these control us within society. I can’t believe that some girls look up to such “icons” …. Walla 3alam kharban!

sad but true, i’m sure many or some of us look at magazines and want to look just as good as Angelina or Beyonce, but truth is they get pimples too :p

Appearances play a large part in our soceity but I am confident that with time we can overcome them. It is sad that she changed her personality too.
