Me + Boredom = the following post!

It’s a bit past 1 right now, am at office watching Blue cut some labels while Anil relentlessly tries to fix the brochure as Big Boss wants… today’s routine is tedious & very numbing although time is passing by so fast – soon I’ll be home, in bed – without my [ body pillow ] :P – my cats make perfect cushions *evil giggle*.

You know when you sit down & your mind keeps processing ideas! This never stops in mine – OMG! One thing finishes, I start with the other.. am insane! Really I am; I couldn’t avoid writing this down:

Question 1. Do you believe in putting on hejab for ONE day only just to try it out, then take it off!

Question 2. Do you think if a person prays but not covered – methajba – is it ok! Or is it like the 9eyam (fasting) – praying issue which basically sez, don’t bother fasting if you ain’t praying..

Question 3. 3amro Khaled’s show on Al Rai yesterday was about motherhood – now, TV is always on so I heard some of the show. He said: “Rabbena bey7eb elmar2a aktar lamman teb2a Om”!! – God loves the woman more when she becomes a mother – So, idiots like me who wait for other idiots to come & marry them are loves less! Or maybe not loved at all!! Someone care to elaborate on this issue cuz it doesn’t make sense to me when I see bad parents, molesting their kids – abusing them for personal gains or throwing them in the streets..

Question 4. Men men meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen! WHY !! What do you want! How do you think!!! GRRR!

Love this

I’m tempted to answer the questions, so here it goes.
Question 1: No, I think hijab is a committment. You don’t try it out. You have to put it on and accept the fact that you are going to be wearing it forever.
Question 2: I think everyone should pray, whether met`hajba or not. I also believe that fasting has nothing to do with praying. If you fast but don’t pray, I think that your fasting will be accepted. I mean they are 2 different pillars of Islam. If they influenced each other so much, why isn’t that mentioned in the Quran or some hadith? Two different pillars = judged as 2 separate things.
Question 3: Lol, this is funny. It’s not in our hands to get married and have kids. So, Amru Khalid, be nice.
Question 4: A mystery never to be solved.
    :)

  2. Blue Dress Says:

    Q1. It’s not a matter of belief.
If someone is taken by life ok a certain layer of life and they decide on wearing the hijab (FOR THE WRONG REASONS)
Then it’s not considered hijaaab! They might as well take it off!
    Oopse! Blasphemy.

Q2. They are two seperate things. Do they complete each other?
Now thats the question. Do they?

    Q3. I don’t like him. BLASPHEMIES.

Q4. Now that , you can ask … 3amro khalid.

  3. Vixen Says:

    1. I honestly don’t know.
    2. No, because you basically not muslim if you don’t pray, but still a muslim if you’re not wearing the hijab. God forgives everthing but polytheism and not praying is as good as. (This is the shar3 point of view).
    3. I think he was just trying to show mothers some sympathy? I can’t watch Amer Khaled- nothing personal- but his vocals annoy me. They’re like nails on chalkboard.
    4. Ahhhhhhhhh!! Can’t live with them , can’t live without em!

I love Marooon 5,, this song 3ajeeba, bas I like it in Kanye’s Heard Em Say even better. It’s lovely.

  4. Tooomz Says:

I’m bored and sleepy and thankful it’s time to go home. That’s my contribution for the day ;)

  5. mishref Says:

    e7na mystery ?

    Food + Respect + Sex

    what more to understand ?

    So simple tara!

  6. EniGma Says:

loool at mishref! seriously ay respect akh some of them don’t even care it’s more like food + sex

    anyway here’s my 2 fils:

    1. I think yeah it’s OK. I mean what if she wears it and then decides it’s not for her? I’m not against taking it off. It’s better than wearing it and not being convinced with it.

    2. Nobody mention fasting today it’s a sensitive issue :P Kidding,, praying is the first thing that a person yet7asab 3alaih. So everyone should pray no matter what. I heard a shaikh saying once on TV that praying is what reminds a person that he’s a Muslim, so even if a person has had alcohol (u know about the 40 day thing) that’s not an excuse not to pray, even if he’s not getting his ajer for it.

    3. no comment :P

    4. Like I said above, food + sex

  7. pearls Says:

    Q1: Hejab is not a choice it’s a must.

Q2: I believe if you do good deeds Allah will accept them either way, but it depends on your intentions in the end

Q3: I think he meant that in the Quran mothers are mentioned with a higher status than men, of course not all moms only the good ones, as the Quran verse says “paradise under mother’s feet.” It just shows you what mothers go through and how much they give up for their kids and family. Her body, her time and everything she has. It’s a full time job, not an easy one because it never ends. Plus teaching kids the right principles in life is another tough task. A true mother will never leave her kids but will always care for them even if they were old.

    Q4: actually I don’t understand women?

  8. THE[M]CODE Says:

mbarak 3aleech el shahar sis, i know very late

  9. TAT Says:

I have to disagree with mishref its the SFS sex food sleep :P however respect goes with the MPR money power respect which should be gained on your own but lets not talk about the MOB for now.

    as for the questions
    1: Dunno I’m a man but I sure look good in a bandana :P

2: All I know is you should cover your “3owra” thingy if you pray that makes me think of another question but its kinda rude so I wont ask it…

3: That PAB should seriously think about what he says as for me I don’t need anyone to tell me about this stuff If I have any questions I can read the Quran and interpret it in my own way.

4: It’s “Complex” at least when it comes to my way of thinking my friends still trying to figure me out :D

  10. Yara Says:

i love this post and i love the Questions.. im with pearls. Although before i wore the hijab i did try it on and went to be photographed in it (so i could change my ID pics when i do wear the hijab).. #2 reminds me of a true story about a guy that goes to “sheqaq” and drinks.. before he started drinking it was time for athan el 3sha and he went to pray then came back.. his friend gala why do u pray even though you drink khamir? He replied hatha ’3air o ’3air mala she’3el eb ba3a’6 hatha 3amod el deen, eli ma y9ali mo moslim… #4 get the book Men are from mars women are from venus.. Fadni WAYED :)

  11. :::Shayouma::: Says:

    smart questions lol..

    1. Yeah I too think it’s a must, not a choice BUT you shouldn’t wear it when your heart’s not in it. I mean, there are parents who force their daughters to wear it and they don’t want to but afraid from their dads – that’s sad. You can try it on at home, why do you want to wear it out if you don’t really want to wear it? funny thing, when I first wore it, I actually forgot to wear it once and also several times I spoke to the khadam without it and they wouldn’t look at me and I didn’t know why lol.

    2. Well, prayer is the basic thing, if you don’t pray then don’t fast. Hijab is not the same, I don’t know that’s how I see it.

    3. Ok forget about those who didn’t get married, but what about the ones who are married but can’t have children? It just doesn’t make sense, does it??? BTW, his voice does annoy me too, I am glad someone else noticed!!

    4. Look I have been married for like 13 years and I STILL don’t know the answer!

  12. dishevelled Says:

Question 1: I guess it doesn’t matter if the intention was for one day. I mean we’d got all these girls over here wearing it permanently and dressed like/as though (use your imagination to fill in the blank :P) So I think the intention of trying it on is better than always wearing it and neverendingly insulting it

Question 2: Yes, I think it’s okay for a non-covered girl to be praying for the following reasons: The people mentioned about in the answer to question 1, and I believe God is the only one to judge. He is merciful, forgiving, understanding, etc. I believe it’s up to him and not human to decide. After all, a lady went to hell for mistreating her cat. I also believe aldeen ta3amol before anything else.

Question 3: No offense to him, but I believe that’s one of the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard about God’s love. A good person is a good person. A mother may or may not be a good person who may or may not raise good children. What about those women who can’t have children, who never got married, etc, etc.

  13. Chikapappi Says:

Nice interaction people…. we all agree on all of the answers bas aham thing Shyoom! LOL! Mashalla *knock wood* 13 o still don’t know… la shaja3teny – marriage I mean :)

    - Om 7amoody, We have it here bas I don’t like reading .. this is an issue that I have to fix huh

  14. :::Shayouma::: Says:

LoL well, sometimes I think I do but then again, I realize there are still some things I don’t get!!!
