The reasons why am proud to be an Arab?!

Speaking of hypocrisy & after chatting with a good friend of mine (she’s already a friend although I’ve known her through blogging); I was so tempted to write this post & to hell whatever comes from it!
I browse through blogs looking for people who “document” their real life stories & experiences, it’s not that am nosy bas sometimes knowing certain things could be a life saver! The kinda situations you tend to avoid but unaware of… that’s easy for someone like good ol’ me! Very passionate & trusting.. which btw sux to the point that I wanna gobble down a bottle of house cleaning liquid or Dettol to get rid of all the nonsense!
I wanted the title to end with (a Muslim), then I figured, why the hell would I rant about this & include religion?! It’s not about that – we are born into Islam am afraid but we preach more than we practice.. that’s funny right! Coming from someone who wears Hejab, think whatever you want! This is me…
It’s funny being an Arab because:
1. People judge me by my family’s name or social status
2. People here take you for what you look like on the outside & don’t argue back saying this goes on in the West too…
3. Arabs obsess over material a lot & I am one of them people – I just want want & want more
4. Arabs bullshit & show off a lot, sometimes unnecessarily – on anything from a crappy pair of flip-flops to showing off their daughters – GUILTY
5. Arabs only talk without deeds = we did & our ancestors & our fathers – yada yada yada… THEY DID! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU OR AM DOING!?
6. Arabs like to copy West, am not off the hook from this one too
7. Some Muslim Arabs use religion as a cover – OH I HATE THAT SO MUCH- it kills me to find out how fucking sick some people are out there using clichés
8. Some Arabs are so fake, their whole body parts wanna scream HELP!
9. Arabs tell you they obsess about the future while the fact is they’re still recover from the past
10. Arabs are known for their hospitality & generosity, while food ends up in garbage at the end of the day
11. Arabs & Muslims say they have no prejudice !!! (Puh leeeeeeeease)
12. Arabs like to cover & hide behind slogans & back in their houses & with their families, they’re something different – not my dad though.
13. Arabs say they are modern & open minded but deep inside they know they can’t shake their roots out
14. Arabs get educated outside & sound free but when they return home, they go look for girls who are covered up head to toe because she’s Muslim! Sallemly 3alal bars o night clubs you used to go to outside!
15. Arab girls wanna be free & have rights, while they still think of scoring some dumb rich husband who has it all to stay at home!!
16. Arab girls use words like 7aram & taboo but they know how to go behind their parents and do shit – not off the hook from that either
17. Arab girls diss & cuss other girls for dressing up tight but it’s ok if we do it
18. Arab girls diss & cuss who dates boys & has relations but it’s ok if they have 3 boys recharging their credits & buying things for them
19. Arab girls think it’s ok to do anything behind covered doors & pretend like nothing happened
20. Arab boys sleep around with girls then say “THANK YOU” I had enough & move on
21. Arab boys take drugs & drink & also pretend like there’s nothing going on
22. Arab girls & boys think that love is sex only
23. Arab boys & girls judge people for past mistakes & have no mercy because they are “righteous”
24. Arab boys & girls think that girls who have relations are sluts & even worse, if a girl makes “the mistake”, they x her forever…. Kinda repeated I know!
25. Arab boys & girls think they are the “future” of this nation! We’re only helping Shaye3 make more money for H & M
26. Arabs hide behind slogans
27. Arabs don’ wanna work too hard
28. Arabs are so bored they either commit suicide or get married then divorce
29. Arabs act decent in their countries and abroad they go wild
30. Arabs think they are bullied by other nations

It is very true especially the Arab boys & girls part. The first couple of points doesnt go to Arabs only, there are ppl like that in every part of the world. Many of this is because we r used to getting what we want without earning it.. very spoilt. I ‘m going to do whatever i can to raise my kids differently.

Oh many of the things you said is true.. Of the things I hate most is that Arabs look at people in terms of COLOUR, RELIGION, ORIGIN, ..etc.. but I look at people for WHO they are, I don’t care if they are muslims, jewish, christians or no religion, it’s their personal choice.. i have no right to interfer in that area..
I hate it when they are in a non muslim country and are like “Oh they are looking because we are Arabs or because we are wearing Hijab” GOD I HATE that,, WHY do you look at people? Did you HEAR them say that? Why is it the first thing you think?

- Well, it’s still a personal blog & I can write what I want – I admit that I did something wrong – rule of blogging: HONESTY – am not inducing people to go have sex or promoting obscenity so to me it’s legitimate
- Yes I heard of that – my dad is a sheikh so I hear that all the time but that applies to “good” Arabs – Islam abiding Arabs

You know, everything you said is true. Its really sad that very few good things have come from the Arab world… we actually I wont talk about the entire arab world because maybe there are some arab countries that aren’t as fucked up as Kuwait is.
So I’ll just say something briefly about Kuwait (which you’ve already stated in your own way). Kuwaitis state they have ideals and morals when in truth they don’t even follow these ideals. Kuwaitis quickly judge one another on things that have no real value. And Kuwaitis care about the judgement that other Kuwaitis “bestow” upon them … hey why did the space run out? Damnit!

Again, as I was saying: If you’re going to spend money on impressing others then atleast spend it on the One that counts. Kafal an orphan. Feed the poor…. anything just not shit that makes people say “gosh she’s pretty!” Pretty only goes so far. I would hope (but I know this hope is lost) that the men and women of our generation don’t care to be labelled as “pretty” or “rich” because both those things fade quite quickly and mean nothing in the end. I would hope that they’d strive to be “caring, kind, and generous”. But knowing the trash that I see everyday, Kuwait has gone to the shitter and I think that only once all the money runs out and there is huge civil war that people will wake up and realize what’s important.
