When I heard of it the first time, I though WTH!! They have a club for “toasts”!! But how come! Liquor is banned! LOL!!!

A coupla friends of mine are members of this club & they explained a bit about it bas Swair, made things totally clear for me :p

Ok, first is first; You have to check the Toastmasters International website for me information [ Link ]. It’s basically a society – meeting club that helps you with the personal improvement & development when it comes to your communication & leadership skills. To be brief, you have to practice public speaking & have people assess you. I love how things like that build up your self-esteem & confidence.

We got the sms from Swair saying that the meeting is today (which is yesterday) & I didn’t hesitate for a minute not to go. I went home, changed my “smudged” shirt & got dressed up, yeeeeey! My mom was happy I wore a skirt! Heheh! FINALLY! Blue picked me up & we arrived earlier than the starting time of the meeting.

I listened to Nasser give a speech / presenting a topic then watched other members evaluate his performance in a somewhat not harsh way :P – you know Swair, that dude was kinda harsh on him. I will tell you who in PM.

We met Mr. Baba Swair, whom I respect for what he is doing to / for his children :) that’s a great skill he is planting in his children (mashallah). He even said my full name when Swair introduced me to him! I stood there with my cheeks on fire thinking: “How does he know my name!?” – Mr. baba Swair said it’s written all over my head! LOL! Bas not with ko7l Swair, I checked :P

Last part of the evening was fun time, where the group president – leader toastmaster introduced a game “Them & Us”, we females are the us. Boys sat on one side & the girls on the other. It’s a deck of cards with words which one has to associate with 10 things which are also mentioned on the card. Of course there was time limit & whoever gets more right answers & highest scores win. I was disappointed (remembers Nasser’s topic & rushes to bring the “my world of disappointments” box) because the lads won by 4 or 5 points difference am not sure, but they got the easy stuff :/ name make up items! Walla them boys know everything now a days!

Swair took us for a tour & mashallah I can’t wait to lay on your sofa & munch on junk food :P

I will be a member enshallah… I guess it’s healthy getting involved in such activities instead of wasting time doing nothing (which BTW, DOES NOT include blogging).

Thanks Swair for the lovely evening, it was a pleasure meeting your wacky brothers *waves to the stooges* & I will be seeing you soon ;)
