Marriage Season!
Ok, For the last 3 days, most of the single girls I met went like: “I wanna get married!!!” Eih dah!! Marriage season?! LOL!! Even during the 3aza, One girl goes like: “Ahhh, I wanna get married NOW!” Deja-Vu from yesterday…
What’s weird is how people have this need to get married, it makes me wonder, why?! Is it a physical thing? Or is it that sense of security that they seek?? I want to be honset with you people; I also think of the same.. I don’t give that much importance to the idea & joke about it alot. People say that I am driving guys away from my “On Guard” attitude & I should let things loose a bit… I dunno, I think I will give it a shot!!! They got me excited…

i personally want to get married because i think its cute, it gives me a fuzzy feeling inside..[im too young to think of getting married that why must of you might have different opinions (13)] I feel like i’m gonna find the man that loves me and will reallly look after me with safety and protect me from any harm..sometimes i want to get married because I really love babies..and I wish I had one..and a caring loving, (handsome) husband to go with…ADOPTING IS OFF-LIMITS for me..I think as if im taking away a mothers child and i kno NO mother doesnt love their kid…

The main reason I’d like to get married is cos I’d like to have kids in the not too distant future and the concept of being deported from the labour ward doesn’t quite thrill me!!!
However, the romance, companionship, cuddles etc do sound lovely!

And family members are like , ur friend got married what are u waiting for ? as if being single at the age of 21 is a crime , or is it a felony that my best friend got married and left me :(

I have been thinking of marriage for quite a while. Honestly, if the girl I want to be with shows up tomorrow & I know she is that person I’ve been searching for, I’d marry her without thinking twice.
Unfortunately you see elders telling you stuff like “Where will you live?”, “How will you provide for the both of you?”, and questions that might make an individual have doubts about whether or not its time for them to take that big step. But I always say “Allah ra7 yarzigne, mosta7eel 2allah shoof shlon 2ana nawi adish ef 3alam el zawaj o ra7 at3ab, wohowa e5aleeni min ‘3eir ma esa3idni.”
I understand that the “Lovey-Dovey” stuff is during the honeymoon & sooner or later the seriousness will start, especially after the 1st baby. But that doesn’t mean that beautiful flame is out! When both ends cooperate, that flame will keep on going for as long as they want it to be. Marriage is a beautiful thing, as a person who is going to enter the workplace soon enshallah, I honestly can’t wait untll I find my other half. :D

LOOOL, chika guess what? I’m actually one of those girls, I recently announced to my mom, grandma, and 3 friends that “I’m Ready”, it’s been like 8 days and I’ve been told about a few guys to set me up with but they’re all older which makes me think I should wait a few more years (I’m 23 now, the youngest guy they told me about was 30). The other thing that has really turned me off is that NON of them have american passports and that kinda scares me, I told my grandma to specifically find a cute american boy.
so you wanna know why? Well for me it’s posisbly stability, I’m going to be in a 4year intensive graduate program starting either next fall or the fall after that where I’m going to be confined to a city and really busy, I’ll be 28 or 29 when I finish. I think it would be nice if I find my guy before then because during that time I wouldn’t really be able to consider these things. Plus, I live in the west I’m surrounded by temptation habibti, while in my masters program I fell like head over heels over 2 of my colleagues, both of them non muslims. So I’m supposed to be single for the next 5 years around a whole bunch of cute and very eligible soon to be doctor nonmuslim boys????? I don’t wanna do anything haraam thus it’s better for me to not be single during that time if I can help it.

i feel i need to be in a stable relationship, both emptionally and physically.. unfortunately in our culture u need to be married in order to have that :( i need the stability, but i’m not ready for the responsibility of marriage birth

They just say it this season because they want a man to cuddle up with. It happens every year, observe closely how during the summers when you ask a girl, “want to get married?” she’ll reply, “waaaaaay ge6ee3a shako?! MAYNONA?!”
While in winter you’ll hear, “Ambaih ee weddi! abi wa7ed 7elo, emrayesh, weld 3ayla, shehada, ba6eekh, raggi oo romana.”
