I was watching Oprah tonight, one of the reruns on MBC4; Hally B. was her guest & she asked many questions… I was inspired to write & reply :)
1. What scare you in life?
I mentioned this so many times, I dread the fact that one day I will wake up to know that some one of my family members is hurt – dead. It scares me knowing that one of them – actually all of us – will leave this life bas the idea itself is gut wrenching… Think of the grief, think of the responsibilities, think of the memories.. it’s scary..
2. What makes you laugh really hard?
Seeing a baby laugh :) I just love kids & being among goofy friends :P
3. What makes you really sad?
The unjustness & unfairness in this world; While we enjoy this easy life style, others on the planet do not even have a roof to shelter them from cruel conditions or lack of freedom or food even.
4. Why aren’t I satisfied with my existence?
It’s hard to explain, one part of the answer lies in my ambition – it frustrates me when I do not achieve my goals as I wanted. The other is all about certain situations that I put myself into & really loathe.
5. Who do I wanna be like?
Hmm… I dunno! I really relate to many role models in life but I tend to twist & bend rules to my satisfaction.. I would love to go back in time, to our Prophet Mohammed PBUH time & live their life & walk in his footsteps & all the good people that followed him..
Which reminds me, Oprah! Ms. Oprah… she did good, for lots of people out there.. no one can deny that but in the back of my mind, I still think she is a racist.

i think oprah is very sarcastic and this is something i really hate about people cuz while interviewing few of her guests since somes cases doesn’t tolerate sarcasim but it interests me to know why do u think she’s a racist?

“I still think she is a racist. ” I agree here, maybe not necessarily a racist but if I feel she holds alot of misconceptions about the arab world or about practicing muslims.

I don’t think she does good things for mere goodness of it but because donations reduce her taxes. Plus it would give her a better image and she’ll be more popular among the public.

1. What scares you in life?
Loosing someone i love i was really scared when my mom got cancer but 7amdillah she pulled through itand shes doin much much much better.
2. What makes you laugh really hard?
Different things….my bunny when falls off the couch cause he miscalculated his jump :P
3. What makes you really sad?
The Fact that i’m still learning about who your REAL friends are. And Chika im really sorry for not bein able to make it…call me later today lets do something.
4. Why aren’t I satisfied with my existence?
Because living the way that i live sometimes it feels like my existence is contralled by someone else.
5. Who do I wanna be like?
I really dont wanna be like anyone in particular i might wanna change things about or around me to match someone elses life but not everything. I like me :) (Most times)

1. Losing my wife and Baby ! I’m so scared while im driving , i just want to shoot the motherfuckers who drive insanley !
2. I try to make the best laugh at everything … keeps me sane !
3. Poverty , hunger ! why cant we pay more attention to the needy one’s ?
4. Im content with my existence anyone doesnt like it can go to hell ! muhahaha !

1. Lonliness. I’m always scared that one day I’ll wake up & there’s no one beside me, friend, family, or even a passer-by; that is the one thing that really scares me. There’s always God’s wrath, but His mercy comes down on us before His wrath.
2. People who think they’re better than anyone. They really make me laugh!
3.People using religion as a tool for their dirty wants & filthy needs. Justice turning into a utopian idea. Losing someone I love. Never finding that special someone.
4. I’m lucky that I exist & I’m grateful to my Creator for it.
5. I don’t want to be like anyone else, I can admire someone else’s personality or actions, but I only know how to be me!
* I agree with you Chika, I seriously feel that there is some demon behind that fake smile Oprah puts on!

I don’t think it is racism as much as it “3izzah” for her own ppl.. I don’t that is bad. It is bad if she hates other types of people or benefits her people over others by being unfair.. lol, but you probably know her better than I do :p

I believe that Oprah is somewhat a racist too. She’s great and does great things for her community but when it comes to at least shedding a light on what’s going on in the middle east ( since we’re middle easterns and concerned with such matter) I don’t see her talking about it,ever. Even though she can help. I still remember how mad I was when she showed the world how Ranya Albaz the saudi TV presenter who got all beaten up by her husband as if that’s how all saudi women are. Maybe the one time Queen Ranya was on her show was a good time, and Oprah was actually surprised that they had a Dominoes Pizza there?! What the hell?

True Duaa but I think, in a way, we should blame our media. They don’t really show the good side of our countries. Plus remember that th US is more closed than Europe to the rest of the world..
I try to show non-Arabs pour good side when I meet them , and they are surprised, sometimes, not because they don’t believe or in an ironic way, but because they don’t know!! And they have this certain image of us which is wrong. I see that because they are interested to know more..
