Vets Clinics in Kuwait

I am sure all pet owners will relate to this angry post!

My kitty Fifil has been limping now for almost 10 days we dunno what happened, he just started acting weird & we got busy with the funeral so we thought it’s temporary & he’ll get over it. Unfortunately, till yesterday, the poor cat couldn’t use one of his hind legs. I had to take him to the vet.

We only know Al Dahma’a, which is in Friday market, that’s where the cats get their shots. Blue suggested we go to the International Vet Hospital (hope the name is right), we called n’ called but no one picked up the line! SO we head to ba6eeeikh! (Dahma’a). Now, this is the situation, my mom took filfil before to Dc. Andrew (I don’t like this guy OK!), not knowing what was wrong because Mr. Andrew didn’t even bother to take a freggin X-ray he suggested amputating his leg!!!!!!!!! W T Fuck! That’s far out as an option! SO dimwit goes in the room, sees Fifil, blabbers a few words & tries to smart ass his way out of this that’s when Blue gave him a piece of her mind. We left n’ took a uturn & BAM, there’s another clinic behind it. Al Rai, which is like 100 times better & cleaner than the first!  So, turns out his knee is fractured bas still we gotta go to Ahmadi for that :/

It doesn’t look that fancy from outside bas it’s clean at least not like that shit hole :@

I am wondering, till when do pet owners in Kuwait have to suffer from that?! We need specialized people ya naaaaaaas!!! This is agony! For us to drive all the way to Ahmadi because that’s the only best place in town or get stuck with some idiot who kills animals (MY FIRST CAT WAS KILLED BY A NEEDLE THE GOOD DOCTOR GAVE TO HIM) ! guess who!?!! I think they think that pets are “animals” so it’s ok..

I beg you people!! PLS, for God’s sake!! Have a clean clinic that has real doctors in town.. walla am so sad for the cat *sniffles*

Also, on my way to the printing press, I saw this Hot Pink Truck! Mmmmm, mm!! I want this!!!

Come onnnnnn! :/ we humans have enough! Why can’t they get advanced when it comes to animals!?! too, I mean?!

  12. Mark Says:

Take your cat to IVH and forget about the ones next to the friday market.

  13. Intlxpatr Says:

Your kittie is gorgeous! Glad you took a deep breath and took him to Al Ahmadi – it’s a long drive but they are clean, and knowledgeable, and well equipped, and organized.

  14. ? Says:

I know its a bit too late. The IVH are having problems with their land lines (because of their location) and they use the mobile # that is listed on their site. :)

Just take ur cat to IVH no need to call them in advance. And IVH isn’t in Ahmadi! It’s near Mina Al-Abdullah! If you need more help (since I take my pets there all the time) just drop me an email. :)

  15. Chikapappi Says:

    Thanks R :) I will, for directions :/

  16. 'GreY' Says:

  20. samia-chan Says:

OMG :S thats what i hate it in most arab countries :S no professional help in that field :S imagine i never took my Rico (my ring-necked parrakeet)to the vet i was afraid that they miss up the lil thing!
even when he gets injured i cure him myself & he heals by himself as well n_n i miss my baby :’(

  21. Nicole Says:

I know all three of them.
Had my dogs only at the IVH so far.
    They are good, but expensive.

I can’t stand Dr. Andrew nor his team.
They are unfriendly and don’t care about the animals.
I brought some pets there for Paws, never again….

The clinic behind that one, I only looked at and it looks fairly decent.

And don’t worry, there are countries out there where it’s still worse (Korea…)

One number of the IVH doesn’t work, I’ve had to deal with that before too.

    Here’s their website:
    http://www.ivhq8.com
    email:
    ivh@qualitynet.net

and this should be the number that works:
    3261426
    Will double check that later

    Hope your cat’s better soon!

  22. Egoist Says:

  26. dr.hitham Says:

hello sorry for what i read i agree with u for some points the problem is there is no realt association for veterinarians at kuwait and if so the problem is for the salaries to be paid ofcourse we r always looking for cheap doctors not looking for years of experince or specialist i wonder if there is an organization of course non govermental organization that could arrange the hiring of the vetrenarians in kuwait specially in diffrent fields like pets or equine for these sensetive spirits i hope so one day , ooooooooops i forgot to say i am a vetrinarian living in kuwait loooooool.
