Phobias
We human beings top’em all! I mean creatures roaming this planet, probably the entire universe. We come in complex “packages”, no two alike – no matter how many things people have in common, each individual is unique in his – her sorta way.
What formulates the people we are today are the experiences that we go through, lets say the situations we voluntary put ourselves into. Some pushed by circumstances, others plain naďve & stupid.. we all have things that we regret & reminiscence of a past that you fear would haunt you forever or incidents that leave this permanent scar… ashamed to admit that?! well, yes; My personal philosophy is to keep them skeletons in the closet especially if it is something that is not necessary for others to know & won’t really matter..
What happens when a person is too lingered on memories? On things that he – she just can’t get out. It sometimes feels like a torture.. it sometimes kills everything nice that this person might encounter along the way..
Why is it easy for a person to forgive & forget others’ mistakes while that exact same person is the worst & most strict critic of him – herself!
Negligence is a bliss, not all of us have that!
on another note, do you think that a person is to be judged by his / her past?!

Yes, because the past says a lot about you. You can judge them, but not hold it against them.. does that make sense?

“the past says alot about you” hmm.. ok, not sure if that applies on many people because I do believe that people change as they get older & as they surpass obstacles… The “don’t hold it against them” part is true

The past makes us into what we are today. We learn from it, but to hold it against us is unfair.
Let skeletons lie where they are, it is purely a matter of choice if you want to reveal them whether they will impact the current situation with another person positively, or negatively.
Not sure if I made sense..but you pretty much summed up what I’ve been having on mind lately. :)

if god’s forgive us for our mistakes and disregard our flaws and give us a chance to change , then what give us the right as human being not to frogive others and overcome their flaws .
NO one perfect afterall!

so if people change as they get older, that means they were different when they were younger – therefore, the past does say a lot about you, because you are you using it to compare how one has evolved.

Dont keep the skeletons in the closet , they will stink , it is better to bury them ,
“Judge not ! Lest ye be judged ” … Past is past , Leave it for God to judge and just move on !

after 10 years from now .. you will be sitting some where thinking of this day when you asked this question .. the past defines who we are by sculpting our personalities into whom we become.
like the wind that blows onto that tre as it grows .. it will form its bents and curves till you see that big tall tree and how its formed .. do all tress have shadows like each other ? look the same ? feel the same ?

should let the past behind cause you cant go back and change it just let the experiences you had shape you up to be a “better” person and i’m using the term loosely
December 16th, 2007 at
I would not change ONE single mistake!
And sadly yes people will judge you no matter what. So, you have to be careful with whom you share your mistakes. Unless it totally necessary, I don’t see a need to share anything with anyone… that has nothing to do with present times
I aslo agree with vixen if its possible.

this post confused me ma adry laih, 3al 3omom no i dnt think the past should factor into any judgement on a person because ili fat mat, 5alla9na 3ad!!

people dont change, so their past will reflect their future
end of discussion
December 16th, 2007 at
Yes people judge about the past, future, present, even a badleya :P j/k … there are many people which dont judge if the person has changed.. we all make mistakes

wayid nas ya7kemon 3la someone from his past, bas they have a past too. bas lazem chethe ye9er…. honestly, i sometimes have to tell the person not to speak about their past (i know speaking about it is not the case here) not because it’s painful for them, bas it’s for me. to me, everything is a new beginning.

We are always judged so we lie , lie and lie .Or we change the subject . Memories are the best , memories are what get me through traffic .

The most important thing is not to regret the things you did, but learn from them and make sure not to repeat them again. There is no use living in regret. I would not judge a person based on their past, I am not living in the past so why bother with it?
And to me, ignorance is not bliss.. I would rather know the past, but I would not let it change my opinion of a person.

no, I never judge a person by his past/history, people change
