Ok, honestly! Is it 7aram or taboo to talk about this!? Does it make a girl bad if she thins of stuff like that & by that I don’t mean porn! You know, I know girls that buy lingerie in advance to be ready LOL! Am not one though! It is still not acceptable here in the Arab world for people to discuss such issues without timidity.. well, if you want them teenagers to be “healthy” and not mess up their lives just start discussing it! Make them aware of the dangers of risky unprotected relations or let’s just say chastity! Then maybe, they won’t hide them playboy magazines under their beds! Or go on Hi5 posting those disgusting pornographic pictures in their profiles!

I want to get married too. A lot of people tell me that I’m a mature person and that kind stuff, but when I tell them I’m planning to get married all I hear is too much irresponsibly ! pain and that kinda crap! They keep on saying enjoy your youth, and I’m like huh? people have the wrong idea about marriage these days!
I want to get married not just for the whole safe sex thing, but to get someone to share unforgettable moments together!

The unfortunate truth regarding this matter is that our animalistic minds often come into direct clashes with human emotions and social acceptance, I think this is the big problem here.
On one hand, the animal brain of MEN tells them to screw anything that moves, that procreation is a part of their purpose in life, to spread the seed, etc. On the other hand WOMEN have an animal instinct to find the best possible supporter and protector, to take care of them and their future offspring.
Now as much as we ALL have one instinct or the other depending on if you have a willy or not, we are all also a bit more evolved from that and actually search for the experience of true love, etc.
As far as sexual oppression in the Arab world specifically…that’s just too psychotic to talk about. And like you say, creates ‘ticking bombs’. People shouldn’t be afraid of Al Qaeda. They should be afraid of sexually oppressed Arabs who might explode at any moment while strolling through a mall, covering all present in gross sticky love juice….

Sexually oppressed Arabs? Hell, more nymphos exist in N. America & Europe than anywhere else in the world.
It’s not about oppression. It’s about choice. Whether a woman decides to ‘sell’ her body, then fine..but in the end (including the religious factor) it’s HER body and she’s responsible to whatever may happen later.
I don’t see it as a taboo matter, they’re even talking about it on Arab talk shows these days. It became an everyday matter, where awareness is needed.

Yeah I agree that they should be discussed but I think nowadays kids are more open, I mean in my day I was too shy to talk about these things or ask questions.. Now my son came to me one day and he said “Mum there’s this biology lesson we have to take and I told the teacher i am not taking it. I told her I WON’t be taking the exam and it’s not acceptable in culture” I was like “HUH what is it?” and he said “LOOK at this page” and God I was blushing like a donno what and couldn’t look in my kid’s face lol!! He was 5 years not so long ago now he comes and says this! lol! but I am glad he told me so.. Then he said ” I told the teacher I might think about learning about it in college but not now” loooooooooL!!

honestly, i think that the problem is a result of our evolving world… things change bas human instinct remains… i mean think about it.. you don’t graduate until 23… work for a few years.. and you’re 26! i’m thinking that as a guy, this gives you about 12 years of wanting to have sex, but for a girl, not nearly as much, maybe 12 years of wanting love though LOL :P I’m not saying ppl should be married off at 17, i think the later the better, as people are taking much longer to mature now than before. The problem is pretty complex. Bas i do encourage marriage as soon as one is ready and able. Ew marriage becomes difficult because of all the “shroo6″, increasingly monetary, which is frowned upon in islam. Yallah, Allah kareem ew Allah iywafig iljamee3 inshallah.

In my opinion, psycho-analytically speaking, sex is the self’s primary desire; the immutable foundation of desire. Hence the tendency for humans to socially interact, form socio-political identities and reap whatever sexual benefit this entails. The modern goal of this “communal sex-drive” is marriage. Marriage is the security of one’s sexual identity which is the cause of people’s greatest egoistic happiness. The conscious ignorance of one’s primary desire (sex), is damaging psychologically and renders your socio-political identity as weak and transparent. Therefore one will always suffer and never be happy.
