My first Egyptian post!

Ok.. so I’ve been quiet I know but here it’s come folks!!

My mom decided to book tickets on Egypt Air which of course is a big NO NO people! It’s like travelling on a bus I swear to God! I needed to go to the lu but had to just hold it like a big girl – this reminds me of the train we took to Alexandria LOL! I will blog that later on.

So, in Kuwait at the airport as we were heading to the gate for boarding we stopped at the check point to show the passports and have the bags checked. Here’s the funny part, my sister had to leave all her toiletries and some of her perfumes because of the new policy while good ol’ me got away with it with one condition: “a36eeny raqmech” translation: “give me your mobile number” :o !!! Can you imagine!!!

Now, I took a look at my stuff which I needed badly of course and one look at the dude; Frail and ugly and I thought to myself : “This is your moment as a female, attack and conquer!” so I go like: “ why don’t you give me your phone number?!” he smiled of course ^!%&@ !!! and then he asks me to call him that’s when I was like ooooops! I am dumb! My swift thinking lead me to using my work number and forgive me lord but I did just to save my stuff :$ once he got the number he goes like ok you can go and call me if they tell you anything inside and I took a deep breath and went like yeah Ahole sure!!!

Of course he called after 5 minutes but I switched off my mobile and I gladly inform you that he didn’t ever since yeeeeey! Women are smart and coy! I love us!

We go on the plane, food sucked, no bathroom, some kid screaming behind us and as soon as we hit the airport we got the visa and again the bags!! We go through the check point and the same issue appears: “el shan6a feeha eeih?!” translation: “what’s inside the bag?!” I tried to keep calm because my mom warned me they’d play it dirty till they squeezed some money out of us so I replied: “come on! 5 years and this is my first vacation, those are my personal stuff!!!” he let us go… which reminds me of something else I’d post about later on too!

The weather there is amazing! It’s sunny and crispy cold and it’s funny watching people do their daily business… I got into my grandfather’s car, rolled down the window and “wohood” from excitement! That’s when he gave me a good piece of his mind :/ I was excited people!!!

This guy endured heavy honking and cussing in the street :)

Number one worst thing in Egypt is the noise! People honk there like their hands are glued to the steering wheel !! It’s crazy!

Lets just say things didn’t go as I planned. I was ready to go throw it off the balcony but my mom called so I placed it on the table BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

I burned my hand blew up the apartment and after that I ocassionaly get a ringing sound from my ears!!!

I’ve yet to have my Egyptian experience…

  21. forsoothsayer Says:

as someone who has taken the kuwait-cairo trip approximately 60 times, i love using my sexuality to get through faster.

  22. samar Says:

I AGREE WITH YOU!! im egyptian and i used to live in kuwait for a long time… but i still go at the summer vacation. and DAMN the egypt air plain is seriously tooooooooooooooo small! :S as soon as i got out i was like… whoa!! finally!!!
and about the black& white taxis they’re annoying as hell as soon as you get in one the driver tells you that we’re going on HIS way and not the way you want it and you’re trapped in the car with him talking all the way with you while you cant stand his noise and the horns and the never ending traffic..and finally when ur there the driver asks you for ALOT more money and he’s all like “re3′eef al 3esh 3′ely!! w al banzin 3′ely!!= bread & gas is expensive” note that black and white taxis run by natural gas and not benzin!!!
if you want to go somewhere and BE on time here in egypt you have to at least be in ur car before the time by an hour and sumtimes u still do go ontime… its just terrible!

take this advice from me… if you go to cairo and u dont have a way for transportation dial 16516 the cairo radio cab… its a yellow air conditioned volkswagen or a chevorlet… they are very gentle people they pay you by kms and they give you a recite. you just need to make ur order before u go out with at least two hours so they can get u one…

  23. Anonymous Says:

Chika..u are a whole damn superficial person who likes to show off a lot.. take a hike and get real my dear..

  24. Chikapappi Says:

What Eveeeer ! :) thanks anyways
