On segregation!!!

sad_01.jpg

I am converting!! Yes, I am was with segregation but I am a believer now! I was in shock today… utter shock and disappointment along with many of the fitness club members when we watched the manager stop the class and pin down a new schedule for the fitness classes!!! NO MIXED CLASSES anymore! :o

People stood there trying to figure out if this was some sort of joke because we were waiting for the kickboxing class while this was going on. “It’s the parliament honey” said Mary, the manager!! I took one look at the table and God it has nothing for us women!! LOL, except belly dancing which is shit! We argued and argued without use…

Seems this segregation law that was passed on and approved had bigger effects, on everything it seems! Seriously! In the gym?? What would possibly happen!!? is there a possibility for some booty action while everyone is busy sweating his/ her eyeballs out!!! WE ARE ADULTS! We can control our behavior, no need to treat us like babies you know!

The rally that many bloggers and bloggerettes attended and I missed out on *sigh* I should have been the first one there screaming my lungs out for justice!!! I thought they’d apply that to Education only turns out some day soon, we “women” would have to drive in separate lanes or maybe leave the house at certain timings.. oh, how about having “ladies only malls” LOL!!

Come ooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!! This is faaaaar too much to take!! :o Who’s gonna push us to exercise harder now without them men there!! I mean it gets so competitive in the fitness session we just have fun!!

I demand we have the men back!! you hear meeeeeeeeeh!!!

    And, rivals are good motivators.

    Your parliment sucks, but it doesn’t make sense that your Gym had a mixed fitness class, and now only a male class. Could be time to find another Gym!

  11. shosho Says:

    What I find a bit difficult to understand is how can you be with segregation and join a mixed gym!!!

  12. Nicole Says:

    I didn’t even know that they did mixed classes here.

    But I take a wild guess that things are shifting more and more direction to what’s going on in Saudi.

  13. :::ShoSho::: Says:

    Hmm, I didn’t know there was a gym with mixed classes? I donno it’s not about the separation but I can’t excersise in front of me..

    But this whole segregation is crazy..

  14. :::ShoSho::: Says:

    i mean in front of men

  15. Chikapappi Says:

    ok… two Shoshos to reply to! :P

    Shosho 1: It’s not that am with or against it, we were brought up thinking this is the norm and according to Islam of course, so it never effected me and remember, I am not Kuwaiti.. to a Syrian family it is quite normal for people mixing up in a decent way you know as long as it’s all in public. So going to that gym is no issue to me. It all comes down to what type of person you are; Hejab doesn’t stop you from doing what you like in life, it’s not a set back dear..

    Shosho 2: At first you would think / feel it’s weird but believe me, the type of people you meet there are decent. Their main target is keeping fit not hooking up with women and it’s perfectly natural to feel shy at sometimes that’s when I stop till they finish something particular but then again, they respect every singly lady who deserves being respected ;)

  16. Maze Says:

    dont tell me that they’re gonna do that in all gyms…hell no classes will not be enjoyable anymoreeeeeeee….damn it!!

  17. Chikapappi Says:

    Maze YES ALL GYMS!

  18. G.E&B Says:

    The “law” in reality has nothing to do with this, the law applies to public and private universities. This is business trying to stay under the radar and keep its business. (and its probably temporary too) Fight the gym’s management for it!

  19. Chikapappi Says:

    Of course we will!!! That’s what I thought with educational facilities not gyms!

  20. mr.anonymous Says:

    See!u can’t live without men..we rule the world!!!…
    On a more serious note,I don’t think that new law would really reduce or prevent what it was made to alter.

  21. Chikapappi Says:

    umm.. yes we can to a degree but we are competitive when it comes to that ;) alter what exactly!! It’s gonna make things worse! People are suppressed and this would surly lead to an “explosion” as if this is the last thing we need if we are talking about positive changes

  22. Fayoora Says:

    Testahloooooon!!! :P
    3ashan it3arfoon itnagoon who side you take next time!!

  23. Vagabond Says:

    What’s the point of wasting crazy amounts of money to join a mixed gym? To see sweaty and smelly men? Mixed gyms are bad in a way because a guy might try and lift heavier amounts of weight when a girl passes by to try and show off only to pull a muscle or hurt himself.

  24. Chikapappi Says:

    matter of fact, the only one pro for this is the stink you know! we women were sooo happy when the place smelled so good yesterday! :P

  25. TAT Says:

    I have a gym in the basement wanna work out?

  26. Ms Loala Says:

    Honey i never agreed with segregation, but in gyms!!! It should be segregated!!!
    I mean, i refuse being seen by men when i’m all sweaty and tired! You never know what men are thinking of specially when they see you in such position!! Even if they are tired and working their b^tts off! Still, their minds are functioning pretty well!

  27. GreY Says:

    too bad ! too bad , ptch ptch !

  28. :::ShoSho::: Says:

    LooooooooooooooooooL Now it’s 2 shoshos!

    Chika I know, I don’t mean the men are indecent or something, it’s me, how i feel. even before hijab, my dressing was almost like a Mu7ajaba .. I guess i am too shy.. but I am better now lol..

  29. greyshorts Says:

    Ladies only mall sounds like fun .

  30. Vixen Says:

    Ay shay! Everyone’s gonna turn gay or lesbian mark my words ! LOL @ Vagabond
