Obsession
I was watching a rerun of Dr. Phil’s show on obsession with celebrities and how harmful that could be especially if people get carried away with their feelings towards these strangers that we read about in the tabloids and honestly speaking, it is silly from us to watch every single move they make or try to follow their footsteps because after all, they are human beings like us and that means they do make mistakes and have their share of sins…
Why would you make someone like umm.. Tommy Lee (Pamela’s hubby) the love of your life or an idol! Why do we fantasize on having this sparkling “wonderful” life (at least that’s what the majority thinks) neglecting important aspects like privacy, modesty, freedom if I may say… who would want to be in the lime light all of the time.. is it worth it?? Sacrificing a big chunk of your life to satisfy crazy fans! I wouldn’t for sure
Leave me out of this, Look at her for instance…. Who doesn’t like Madonna! Who doesn’t listen to her music, I mean the woman is a genius! From the first album till the latest she is going strong… She’s the type of gal that some women would envy for living her age as she does. She is unstoppable and ageless.. She is a woman of good acts and charity (although I doubt it when celebrities do that it is mostly for publicity)
I do not intend to piss you Madonna fans off :p but seriously! There comes a time when a person has t o stop for a moment, rethink life in general and start having priorities! You will say: “Who are you to tell people how to run their lives!?” well you are right but as I mentioned earlier, it’s an obsession and some fans take it to the extreme. It’s like that person is in her / his life and it makes me feel sad because it’s an illusion and some might not realize it as it effects their sanity! Like them girls who faint when they see their favorite artist! I say WTF!
Madonna… she is old now.. not as pretty as before, still flexible & sassy.. very hip and trendy although I think it’s her fashion stylists that take care of that like the photographers who work on her to show her flawless… She is lost between religions.. Kabbalah is her latest, maybe Scientology next! Who knows..
Bottom point, why do you idolize such people when you have others that are more profound and that can do much more in this life time at least for us!?
My last question would be, why do you need to idolize any human is the first place (before you start bashing I would like to note that I have written this excluding our prophet Mohammed PBUH and the rest of prophets) …. We all learn from our mistakes and we are all smart and wise enough to make our own decisions and set our lives..
I even end this by again saying that Dr. Phil is stupid, Oprah is a racist and Mika is gay!! here you have it!! Sue me!

I remember being a fan of Bo Halldorsson(he’s on the Internet on My Space),but I was 16 at the time.And I liked Barry Gibb for his looks and how he sung in the Bee Gees.
But,does this obsession not wear off with age?Is my question.
Madonna looks so sad on this picture,I’ll be praying for her.
I really feel sorry for these stars,they have no privacy.Everything about them is aired out in the public arena.
It makes me see, how very blessed I am.
And I do comprehend the reason behind Greta Garbo, declaring to the world:”I,just, want to be left alone”.

On the other hand,I’ve heard that she never said that,but,she sure acted it out,I’d say,and I don’t blame her a bit.

True.. when I was younger, I used to follow every move of ermmm A-ha lol.. and also Kylie Minogue back in the 80’s.. but now i am ok.. i don’t obsess at all, I am a grown woman *Straightening proudly* LoooooooL Seriously!
Funny thing, once I saw Hugh Grant in Heathrow, ( He’s my fave), and i was lool telling my big by look this is my fave. it was 2 years ago, he was 9 or 10 I guess. and my son was like ” Soo?? he’s human like the rest of us? So what? I saw Christinano Ronaldo in the match and i like him but I act normal” and he went on on me being unreasonable lool.. Funny I felt he was the parent and I was the kid.. shame on me!

I think it’s normal to be interested in someone you look upon as a role model to an extent, however when it gets beyond the ‘normal’ range, only then do I think it is a problem that should be addressed.
However if someone looked like Charlize Theron then I would be obsessed :P Green eyes are wow too :D
