It’s no trend in the U.S.A., throughout history people in power have abused their positions or dabbled in various “naughty” things. It seems like it is becoming more common because the media is everywhere nowadays, e.g., cameras on cellphones, surveillance cameras, out of control paparazzi, etc.. It is very hard to break the law and not get caught in America nowadays… verses say, less developed countries. And people have always hidden behind the bullshit that is religion.
Consider this: maybe the girl “wants” to be a prostitute?

I think I know what you’re talking about. But I believe these “issues” that these people have, they don’t come into their reputation in terms of work…in the US that is. Mo kithirna here in the Arab world.
What I mean is that, for example, a person can be into porn, but still be senator. It’s none of anybody’s business. I’m not saying it’s a good thing I’m just stating.

Call me insane but I believe they find that announcing how much sexual affairs they had, sharing it with odds and the whole world is _cool_, cool in a “See, I am honest! I am a good politician” way. Their wives stay with them because “Oh, I am a good forgiving wife, our love is stronger than mistakes”.
