My first Safat Bloggers’ meeting!
Well well well!! First is first! Today’s TAT’s B-Day and that was celebrated by a tiiiiiiiiiny itsy bitsy piece of cake ;)
I actually had the guts and it’s about time people to attend the monthly Safat’s bloggers’ meeting which is always announced ahead of time. Now, part of my excuse for not showing is having the dominance of male presence and knowing for a fact that no other female would show up for support but I promised and I am a woman that keeps her “man’s promise”..
I would lie if I said I was totally cool about it, I walked in and I was shaking WOHO! I was totally nervous because:
1. I know that no bloggerette would go IN SPITE the fact that some of them were around the same area!
2. I didn’t know most of them, well I knew 2 bloggers in person.
So I waited for Mini R. and we both head up and we were introduced and I was quiet for quite some time and half way through I felt like I know those people… anonymous people behind nicknames that after all NORMAL.. nothing scary about getting to know new friends and get the opportunity to talk randomly about any and every thing which was cool.
I am writing this to induce female bloggerettes who have no problems showing up in a public decent place to attend the meetings, even if you come sit down, get along a friend or a family member.. the more the merrier! Pls tell me what your concern is in order for us to fix this matter once and for good!
Many topics were tapped for instance, community work and events for the Safat blogsphere and soon enshallah, there will be like a committee or somethin’ in charge of scheduling such events. It’s basically about taking the blogging into another level which I have always wanted.
Many of the guys had good ideas and I wished we had some of you smart girls around!! Well, One lady showed up :) she knows herself and I totally salute her for being brave enough to take such a step and I bet if you ask her, she’d say the same thing..
There’s another meeting mid this month and there is a group on Facebook for us registered on Safat… Drop an email if you want and I’d help you get there..

hopefully next meeting we would go ahead and plan things out and be ready by next month inshallah for some reason I think that I’m the one who’s gonna plan the community thing out and set some sort of panel or whatever we decide to call it but hey 1 small step for TAT a gaint leap for Safat so it’s all good.
oh and for anyone thinking about coming and you should try it out. first timers start out shy but they warm up later on so just get over the fear and have fun :)
My first meeting was nervous as hell but after that became a regular attendee but we cant start something with only 3-4 people so dont be afraid to show up ^^
