Internet safety
I am haunted by this notion ever since I’ve let certain people into my “cyber life” and although I’ve contemplated the idea of blocking – removing – erasing some of them I thought, well they would still have access to me through other common friends and here I specifically mean Face Book. It’s weird when you have this sense of insecurity even though you are sure that you are not doing something out of the norm, I mean it’s only some pics that you upload or certain useless information but to others that like more than enough to ruin your life.. sick people! I will block you soon :) – I edited the profile so you can’t see shit anymore…
I couldn’t sleep in spite the fact that I slept from 1:30 AM yesterday till like 8 PM same day and I am feeling sleepy right now but it’s because of the “spiked” punch which is only Red Bull and Orange Juice plus the non stop dancing for hmm.. around 3 hours!! I totally gave my soul up on Wednesday and kept all my worries aside and by that I refer to the previous post.
Let’s get back to the topic, I accepted a comment today informing me that I was being bashed on a blog so I check it out and turns out some idiot is using my nickname and link writing stupid comments which are clearly not mine.. I mean, I won’t write stuff like that. It’s so stupid that a person would act like such a loser, stealing my identity to mess around.. I do not have anything to say to this person…. err.. I am helpless when it comes to dumb people, I do not have what is required to fight back anymore and anyways, HAPPY BLOGGING you idiot! :)
This is what I meant by online safety, how can one feel comfortable enough to express his – her self and share identities when the world is full of jerks! No sure who will do what and when to your pictures – name – email etc.. I watched this happen to a couple of bloggers before and again on Facebook! How does it feel when you open a blog or facebook to see your pictures and people forging your comments – facts to strangers who are dying for gossip material in this lousy world!?
Most importantly, why do some people deliberately hurt and offense others even when they do not know them in person?! What ever happened to freedom of expression in all its forms?!

try OpenID to protect your identity I guess, or only accept people that you actually met just to keep in touch. My list only has like 10 people who I have not seen in real life. And two of them are guys with a girls profile trying to fool me and I know who these guys are but don’t tell them I know :P

Welcome to my world. All you can do is report them to higher authorities or just ignore. They are just trying to grab your attention and make you mad because you are popular and write well.

I was stalked once. Sometimes I think we say something that resonates in the culprit’s mind; they want to be us and they want to hurt us at the same time. I don’t really understand how it works, but if you have any public profile, stalkers are always a possibility.
There seems to be one commenter who is immature, hostile and wants attention. He seems to have focused on you. My bet would be on him.
