Perfect skin .. our nightmare!
Never ending quest for effortless radiant skin using cheap yet quality products that are easily accessed by most of us.
I am trying to find the perfect combination and I’ve written a post before about Neutrogena products which dry my face and that’s bad for me. I’ve been picking stuff off shelves for trial and I can give you my sincere advice on the below mentioned, in hopes of helping you sisters out there after testing on myself ;p
[ Neutrogena ] tested and approved by, high end marketing campaigns featuring celebs. Ok, they are good but a bit too harsh for those with over sensitive skin like mine; One use and my skin breaks off and kind of gets worse actually. Maybe it’s just me but I still use the toner, after I wash my face at night and before sleeping. very refreshing I can assure you
[ Elemis ] I bought the exfoliator from Spa Time and it is great! Very nice texture to it and results are instant I swear. I use it once a week and it’s called “Skin Buff” literally! My skin lights up after I wash it off and it is very gentle. I highly recommend it <– Pls listen to Dr. B ;p
[ Sebamed ] Now, those I got as a sample, the green soap thing is something that I’ve been using for a week now and so far nothing major happened, well at least my skin is not dry. No itching or weird reaction noticed like redness on my face
[ Himalaya ], this is my favorite! Especially the facial wash and there’s this stick, I tried googling it up bas could not find it – blemishes thing with natural herbs. I wash my face with the foam and if there’s a spot on my face that needs to go I just roll the stick and again with Himalaya products, results as easily spotted after a day or more depending on skin type or type of skin problem
Last but not least and yes if you are wondering “how many products does this female use!?” – well yes, I do use all of the above, not all at once of course but I would combine them on intervals and depending on how bad my skin is. Last week was a disaster! :$ I never, ever give up my Retin A cream! It’s in the picture above and maaaan it’s miraculous! “smother” the bumps and it dries them up, like peels the skin.. excellent! No cosmetic crap required for now I guess and all the things I mentioned are affordable
Oh yeah, eat lots of tomatoes for they are good for skin, drizzle olive oil over them which makes’em even better! Pls share ideas or products for the love of good skin ;p
[ UPDATE ]: Mama De Moda just left a comment mentioning [ Kiehl ], which looks great! Thanks girl :*

i think the secret for good skin is ur life style.. i dont use any products on my face i do not trust the manufacturers.. i took a 3 days course back in london of how to make ur own blends using natural fresh ingredients for emergencies like dry skin right after birth for example.. few remedies.. but otherwise i use olive oil or sesame oil as a makeup remover and i use natural soap and thats about it ..walla u gave me an idea for an article ! thanks!

ops i need to elaborate on the lifestyle point… i mean working out living an active life eating healthy avoiding caffiene and sugar eating ur greens .. plenty of greens.. avoiding second hand smoking .. avoiding cheap products like cleansers that stip the skin from its natural oils and leave it dry and wrinkled..

Products work for some ppl and might not work for others, i’ll write about stuff u have at home that are great. I know people that swear by vaseline.. but only for dry skin or else u’ll get breakouts. Lemon really makes ur skin soft and even toned (its an antioxidant so may even help wrinkles stay away for longer) shofay go to this forum q8yat.net and go to the “al 3aniya bil bashra wel jesem” part… when i stumbled into this forum i went online as much as i can nearly everynight 9ij its a great place with reviews of stuff in kuwait (even has parts on diet and exercise and gyms in kuwait, makeup and hair stuff, a whole post on numbers and reviews of home service salons ect) sorry 6awalt 3alaich bs i had to share :*

Now you’ve all made me feel like a total klutz. I’ve been washing my face with Johnson’s Baby soap because well it’s the gentle one near the sink, the others are Dettol. Actually I used to love Neutrogena but now they are just super harsh. I also love the Body shop’s tea tree foaming wash, it’s so gentle and smells minty fresh and leaves my skin feeling real nice. I use Olay’s 7 effects and love it too. Although I also used Body Shop’s wise woman night and day cream for some time and they were amazing too.
December 17th, 2008 at
No Body Shop No! I don’t like it, not everything I mean and Johnson is good bas I feel it’s too “mild” like I need something professional. wallahy, try this Retin A cream after any wash and you will see..
Girlies, thanks for the tips :* and Jojo, welcome back ;p

I used to have really horrible acne and I went through every kind of treatment including proactive and RetinA. However after suffering through accutane for 7 entire months my skin has been totally clear for the last 2 years! Now I just use a gentle cleanser like cetaphil or neutrogena and the occasional mask.
December 18th, 2008 at
I see that someone recommended proactiv, I have to warn you though it’s not meant for everyone and I’m the classic example. Proactive made my acne worse back in the day, I went to the dermatologist with inflamed acne and he told me proactiv irritated it.

Proactiv is BAD! BAD! BAD! Benzoyl peroxide really destroys the skin in longterm and is carcinogenic. I fee really strongly about it because it I hold it responsible for the degeneration of my skin after several years use. The research into it proves it is damaging! I agree Retin A is good if you can take it but it broke me out really bad – i actually think it is because they put the retin A in such an awful base with cheap synthetics. The one thing I have found works is mandelic acid – it really cleared up my skin and made it heal. I use the Ishtar Skinlights brand because I am in the UK and it is organic, parabens free etc but I believe US versions have been around a while.

certainly like your web site however you need to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very troublesome to inform the reality however I’ll certainly come again again.
