Ode to my migraine
Yukh! This is my sum up and synonym for migraines. I woke up today with a throbbing head pain and I felt my eyes were about to pop out from their sockets! Swallowed down 2 pills and after an hour it was gone. My mom and I share this, the migraines and it sometimes gets really ugly; I am immediately rushed to the hospital for a shot and that drip thing and put under observation because I also suffer from hypertension, that includes high BP efffff.. 7amdellah!
What is a migraine for those fortunate enough never to suffer it? In my own words, it is a very very painful headache that sometimes is accompanied with nausea needless to mention the shitty attitude that is if I am able to move in the first place! You can read about it [ HERE ]
I honestly am sick of this condition and I asked if there’s a permanent cure to it but no use. The reason behind headaches aslan is unknown but one time on TV a doctor was saying injecting Botox would help! Interesting! I would like to use botox for lips augmentation ;p
How to treat this SOB?
1. I get the injection, Olfen and they get me the Oblong Novalgin from Egypt which is an amazing painkiller!
2. Sit in a dark room – tucked in bed with no sounds avoiding lights and that’s ok
3. Avoid food – triggers as they call it, I still do not know what my food triggers are but weather changes kill me especially when it’s dusty
4. Control my mood swings and try to take things easy as it effects, extreme anger to happiness may trigger it
5. Have half of my brain removed :@
Anything else anyone recommends? You suffering from migraines I mean or you doctors out there?!

sorry to hear that you have Migraine headaches, they can be annoying but you can get medical help
If your migraine headaches are getting frequent or more severe, then you need to take medicines to minimize that and get a better quality of life ( there are so many..will provide you with details if you need that.)
BOTOX also can be used to make your eadaches less

I hate migraines, I get them so bad that I sometimes end up throwing up. I hide in my room and stick ear plugs in my ears because there’s nothing I can take that makes them go away.

been migraine sufferer for the past 14 years.. So far what worked aLOT is botox injections and Norgesic pills.. they’re realllyyyyy good..
as for permanent solution they discovered one!

Salamtek, I used to have strong headaches for a while a couple of months ago, turned out to be an infection in my inner ear.
Terrible pain, gets worse and worse, poor you, I hope you get better soon!

Zomig is the way to go as previous posts have suggested. I suffer from severe migraines too and even suffer numbness in my tongue and arms as well as the usual auras and discomfort – worst feeling ever actually. Zomig works quickly and is easily available in local pharmacies in Kuwait.

I don’t think there is a real cure for migraines, all they offer you are minor to strong pain killers which worthless on the long run.
As I’ve been having those nasty painful episodes for the last 8 years on almost twice weekly basis and I’ve been going from one pain killer to another till my body fully adapts to it and the effects start to wither, for the last year I’ve been experimenting with Cataflam which works like magic though I have to double the doses to rest and be able to sleep and of course it screws up my nerve system big time and fortunately my organs are still intact.
Muscles contraction seems to be the most believable diagnose to my constant migraines and amazingly it has been done by accident by a physical therapist who made it clear that I’m suffering from severe long term muscles contractions starting from the back till the neck which I didn’t believe cause I haven’t complained from that part at all, and I had to start weekly sessions to lessen the cramping and start to have less migraines, it worked but it needs to change the life style “if I may call it” with continuous sessions which I can’t do.

mine is not as bad as yours il7emdillah, but my sister suffers from it a lot. When it happens, we stay in the bedroom with no lights or sound because even the tiniest sound can feel like a stereo in my head!
I heard about Botox for migraines, a lot of people say it works. I think you should try it if it happens so often for you.
