On Sanitary Napkins..
LADIES POST ONLY
Yeees, SANITARY NAPKINS you are reading this right! It’s about time someone writes about it because I sense a national emergency! :o
With four of us here in this house (women), things get really complicated, ugly and several visits to the co-op / supermarket are highly required and mandatory mostly by kbeeretna, my mother since we are all shy :$ – I do not like standing in queue, holding that pack in front of people! natural lady feeling that I am sure many others have.
My problem with the pads enno [ Always ] seems to always be off shelves – out of stock especially the Purple / Blues packs, the heavy leakage ones with the “Happy Dreams” motto! lol well to be honest they are really comfortable and God bless them people at Always! They make them thinner every time they redesign the packages, No one has to worry about having this irritating “Oh, it feels like I’m wearing diapers” anymore. Isn’t it annoying! yukh! Ok, so what do we do? Try alternatives and “get your fit” as [ Sofy ] suggests!? La2, I am loyal to my brands and I won’t risk it sara7a.. I’ve witnessed a couple of very very embarrassing moments :$
I don’t know about you ladies but those other brands don’t serve their purpose, I do not feel secure enough with cotton surfaced pads anymore. So many brands out there and I tried to shuffle use between them but Always is ALWAYS the best!
Surra Co-op, South Surra and City Center Salmiya are cleaned out of Purple Always! My mom reported that after her last visit ;p Are there that many women out there!!? If this is the case with pads, what will happen when men are endangered!

If you think that’s hard, just imagine how tough it was BEFORE the invention of disposable pads.
By the way, your problem is really simple, it’s scientifically proven that women who live in the same environment appear to have their period around the same time. Which means. There will be longer periods of time where the shelves will be fully stacked in el Jam3yyeh. So what you can do is go there, grab a bunch of them and stock up on them. Repeat when you don’t really need them and keep them. They don’t have expiration date so you can keep them for ever…
How do I know about all these things? hmmm I grew up with many many women

try a brand called Na-Na… 3ajeeb oo it’s soo much softer than Always and just as thin…. believe me you’ll be a convert once you try them.

I agree on the “Always is ALWAYS the best!” :P

Qwaider, Hats off to you man! Very decent gentleman unlike the others who left comments that I’ve deleted. There’s no shame on discussing such issues and it has nothing to do with nationalities so next time someone refers to me as “Syrian” hell will break loose! Idiots.
I have always wondered how women before this invention lived.

i’ve tossed out Always a long time ago. i’m more into Kotex and sometimes Private & Na-na (as anon recommended). unlike Always, the last three have a cotton mesh thing and Always’ is made up of some weird, synthetic plastic. see how underwear is always lined with a bit of cotton on the bottom? well, that’s because having cotton “down there” is better health-wise. anything other than cotton isn’t the best way to go. plus, i’ve heard a lot of complaints about Always and the odors it aids in dispelling if you know what i mean, and i think that that is linked to the plastic-y mesh thing.

I am telling my mom about it now and she’s right here next to me, she asks you ladies to send just a picture of the pack lol and is asking where is it made? and she sez hi ;p

January 2nd, 2009 at
Ria! First time I hear of those honestly :$ – and Ananyah same here you know those big blue ones ;p I still remember that picture you had in one post, the dirty pad lol ;p

try kotex in the black plastic bag and in the black box both for heavy nights much better than always ,doctors dont recommend always
January 2nd, 2009 at
interestingly …. women living in the same house hold tend to sync up their periods …. kind of like blackberries …. you’d think something like that would defeat most peoples arguements regarding polygamy …. sadly they dont ….
January 2nd, 2009 at
lol The feminist me is so happy for that ;p – Well, hmm.. sometimes yes but it is ugly am telling you
January 2nd, 2009 at
LoL. I buy lots and stock up when I need them and feel no shame standing in line to get them either, I would recommend that you try a couple of the brands because the products have changed a lot in the last few years and you might find something you like better.

I think Firefox is better than always. Give it a try :)
LOL!
There is no shame really in these matters. Every single male has a sister or a mother. And has bought these things for them. It’s a natural cycle of life. We all exist because of it.
It’s just a little bit too much for many guys to handle .. that’s all :)
January 2nd, 2009 at
Or will have to handle later on, one day I mean no escape from us ;p and LOL!

Ria is great, and so is the ultra kotox in black package/plastic.
