It’s been a while since I’ve done one of those but I seriously didn’t waste any minute today and this is what happened:

Post One -  On H2:

Went to work in the car very worried about our parking, The H2 is huge!! So there was a big possibility that the building’s  low ceiling was going to be an issue – it actually kinda scratched the thing on the roof of the car :$ but that was not a problem! Went down the basement and half way in I looked through the roof top and I saw it!! The car was “this close” to getting stuck there so I panicked and stopped! Between trying to find the security guy and calling someone from the company to help – I hit R and went backwards! Lesson learned: H2 is amazing but it’s not very functional nor convenient  for a city girl- it is too big for parking spaces effff! I managed to have some pictures from the ride back home – I didn’t take them myself though!

Post Two -  Ayami’s Review:

Between Kout – Awtar and Marina Crescent, we decided to go to Ayami. Marina was not crowded! It is freezing out there and on the outside it looked like the place was empty but as soon as we entered, the smoking section was full – they have sheesha there. We decided to sit in the closed balcony opposite the mall but my mother was cold and uncomfortable so Skinny called the manager “AHMAD” to bring one of those heaters. His reply was: “laa sorry, ma feyeeeee mamnooo3″ - “No sorry I can’t, it’s not allowed to bring them in here”. So we asked to be transferred to another table inside once one is free so he suggested that we sit at one of the reserved tables – reservation was at 9 and I checked my watch and it was still 7:15! So he’s like how long will you take because it’s booked already (rude) and I told him how long will it take ya3ny to order, eat, have drinks and leave! We moved relentlessly and sat inside. Even worse! He was there staring at us and checking the time constantly as if we’re not welcomed! Another table was free so we move! FOR THE THIRD TIME! still ok so far and we ordered – I didn’t like their menu because .. hmm.. I don’t know their ads and all the buzz about it made me walk in expecting something different but we managed to order. The lentil soup is very good and the appetizers are ok but their main courses are too exotic for my “fast food” taste. Koskos with bala7 and chicken with remman :/ 1, I am on a diet so it was difficult for me to order so I got the msa77ab chicken – boneless chicken rolls and my sisters ordered a Kuwaiti dish which I can’t recall it’s name bas they both didn’t finish.- 2. the portions don’t make sense especially after that bill! All in all if I want to rate the food and menu, I’d give them 2.5 stars out of 5!

Forget about the food! remember Ahmad from up there!! Ok, so no heater inside right!?! Guess what! A bunch of people go inside and after 10 minutes the huge heater was dragged in!! I instantly was like call the dude! Skinny was going to simply drop the question and keep quiet so he comes stands in between and she went like: “They took the heater inside” and he’s standing there quiet.. “yeah, it was a fast decision and I didn’t have authority to do so before and blah blah blah” The “blah blah” part was when I got furious and had to butt in and this is what I remember saying: “Why don’t you just keep quiet because everything you’re saying is totally unjustifiable and sorry because I don’t know how to say justifiable in Arabic” <– lol! He nodded his head and walked away .. tadaaaa, another rude person in the hospitality business! crap! Thankfully, the waiter Ellie was amazing! He took the orders with a smile, he was attentive and he is social which lead to me asking about that Ahmad person .. Ahmad went around checking all tables on our side without bothering to check ours! It was sooo clear so my mom did the necessary and filled the comment card and as I was leaving I told Ellie: “If I ever come back here again, it’s because of you!” ;) For Ellie’s sake, I’d give the service 5 stars! 7obbi hal Ellie!

- Service is good except for that Ahmad guy
- Sheesha not ok – heavy
- Bill is a turnoff! I mean if we had gone to C&G, we would have had a lot more and much better options! I didn’t want to eat a regular chicken roll!

The rest of the pictures were blurred so I only ended up with this one, the Kuwaiti dish my sisters ordered – I still don’t understand the theme of the place! The old trays and the “modern” setting.. I don’t know.

This was left by her not me I swear!! It’s not my handwriting! ;p (She didn’t leave it actually but it shows how popular Ellie was at our table and that’s kinda not right to say in French ;p)

Post Three-  3alam el mango:

This place is one of Kuwait’s landmarks! You’d go to any branch and find parked cars with people inside eating or drinking something off the menu. After Ayami we were obviously still hungry so we went to the one in Hawally and ya weeeeiliiiiiii 3al za7ma! The car was a disaster to manage between Hawalli’s narrow  streets. I wanted to take a picture of the menu because some of the items carry weird names! “Shako Mako”! lol !! “Laila” “ferrari” ! eh! Regardless the names, the location or the traffic jam it was great and yes I totally forgot about the diet and just devoured the whole thing!

You have to guess which one was mine!! Let’s see how will you know me ;p – If you find yourself next to one of the Mango World branches, go check out there menu. They have new stuff (or maybe I’ve been away for so long) and the good thing is that most of the items contain fruits, still heavy though.
