I was blessed this morning by a message from the FB team – violation of use! I could only think of the pictures I uploaded on Gaza’s massacre on the group I blogged about here earlier, because I am usually peaceful there ;p That managed to boil my blood for like 10 minutes, fixed the pictures and opened this window here to blog it.
I still don’t get it – in the emails I received, words like “children – abuse – hurt” are mentioned, what’s so hurtful about uploading pictures of what is happening in reality and is covered by different media?! How is FB different? I thought users are allowed to freely download their content and have it protected – which is all crap we all know that by now but when you provide a link for “abuse report”, it doesn’t mean that people will use it in the right way – in that group the Israeli faggots or let’s say pro-Isreal faggots are playing it dirty and reporting the pics is the only thing they can do! In war, all is fair.. It won’t stop others from uploading or speaking about it!
Do I really want my account?! Hmm.. kind of, I have friends that I want to stay in touch with. Is it vital in my life?! Not really if it’s another tool for people to control us especially the faggots mentioned above o elly 3amleeno 3ama!
I surfed FB using words that I THINK IS ABUSIVE and is not suitable for children and that may “hurt” people and IS VIOLATION and this is what I have to show you (I ask your forgiveness with regards to some of what is displayed below – I know I shouldn’t and that it’s inappropriate):

When you use the word “abusive”, think of the more general associations of the word! How are sexual groups or those profile pictures (and no, you haven’t seen anything yet!) ok and are not shut down meanwhile, a group defending Gaza is probably bombarded by violation threats and account warnings?!
When you say “children”, I do not think it’s our fault honestly! I blame parents who allow their kids to have accounts in the first place and number two, as an application developer – owner you should manage it wisely since we know that there are freaks out there. So what is abusive if kids see other Palestinian dead kids! Or is it better if we expose them to naked topless shemales and gays besides all the other nudity on FB!?
Are you going to tell me that children now don’t understand these terms and they’d never get to it?! ha ha!
Report abuse my ass ya maskhara and I specify here those Arabs who are members in such groups or promote them and those who comment on pictures like the one above and completely allow this to happen.
I think we should have an Arabic Muslim FB – No! one told you not to party, drink, have a normal social life and not post pictures or fool around on FB but it stops when they try to control our content deliberately and as you see, allow only what they want to spread and if FB allows everything else there like anti Islam groups and vulgar content, why should we take all the shit! It’s a group and they are defending their country – a Muslim country for God’s sake!
So, if I go missing there, NO ONE can stop me here! :)

Seriously, I think you could just report the things you find offensive too. You already have a blog so you can post whatever you want and link to it, they don’t stop you from posting links and photos outside of FB. And if you notice any pro-Zionist groups that have similar content you can report it. Although I doubt you might find anything, they are much smarter media wise and play the rules much better than us. I wouldn’t blame FB too much either they also took down pictures of mothers breastfeeding because they considered them sexual.

several points to make
1) your photo uploads were probably INFLAMMATORY and INCITEFUL (maybe it’s spelled wrong – see the legal defination of both) which does not describe what you have cut and pasted. also your photos could be HATE SPEECH which, again, is not what you have cut and pasted. Facebook has an agreement which you signed which prohibits the 3 mentioned. legally, YOU may have violated their code of conduct; they may have the right to ban you.
2) what you have cut and pasted have also violated Facebook’s code of conduct and they should act accordingly. fair is fair.

Well I know the entire post might lock my booty up in some jail if we were in the States still, this shows how safety and privacy agreements on FB are hoax and anyone can seriously cause damage to others.. what is FB going to do about it! The pics I uploaded were from the net so yes pasted and some edited and mine so no not really and as for the hate speech I’ve been off the hook for worse things :) so i know where the reporting came from – the groooooup!

I think it is a cultural difference..
You can look at it this way, children and movies,In USA nudity is a no no win it comes to movie but blood spilling aggressive action is ok, in Sweden it is the other way around, nudity is ok (partial nudity to be more fair) but aggrision or violence is not accepted.
Sex, nudity, homosexuality and trans sexuality all exist in reality too! but some cultures find it completely unacceptable mean while others are fine with it to some extent.
The same goes to this situation, many cultures try to prevent their children from seeing violent and aggressive pictures.
Facebook is struggling and trying it’s best to help both sides and I understand that it is not easy, If you find these sexual images offensive you can also report them just as others can report your images bloody and violent.

Kalam jameel.. “live and let live” right.. simple principle of allowing people to express themselves and act upon their traditions – cultures – preferences without reporting abuse or harassing each other right?! That’s the whole point! We can upload or create groups and the opposite side can do the same and no, FB is not struggling, I reported many pictures before and nothing happened and I’ve seen some groups especially created for those anti Islam also groups asking for their deactivation – removal and nothing happened.. It’s uncontrollable on FB obviously and it would fail if that was applied – sticking to a certain region – as a networking platform so it’d come down to the following:
1. Leave FB if we or they don’t like it – no way in hell
2. Start an FB war by reporting each other which is funny and childish
3. Create a “cleaner” version of FB that suits us Arabs I guess! and that’s more suitable as a solution – I think it’s been done here in Kuwait but I don’t take such things seriously and I have my own reasons.
Promoting homosexuality and trans-sexuality is not acceptable at all and I’d rather if these people have their own underground online meeting places bas el ghala6 3al 3arab elly join and spread it. I am not an extremest and neither am I with my seb7a and Quran the entire day but it’s shocking and I know I am over reacting the whole situation but until we are left peacefully, this is my attitude.

Don’t mix up hateful speech and personal opinions.
you are not over reacting, in fact it’s good that you have pointed this out and shared it with us.
We can not isolate our selves today from the rest of the world, we are facing globalization through the media and the internet, we are connected to the rest of the world economically, cultural and politically.
I think the solution is just to accept our differences and respect them, sooner or later we will have to do that, and the sooner the better.

My German friend wrote a pro-Gaza note with some politics fused in it and he got a warning that his account would be disabled if he doesn’t remove it. He doesn’t have any grotesque images posted!

I think maybe because you uploaded pictures that weren’t your own? Maybe due to copyright purposes or something.. Or maybe because they dont want gory pictures.
And maybe if we read the Terms of Agreement properly, it could mention something in there.
But all in all, writing something anti-Israel could probably be more threatening to the owners of Facebook than anything else. Also, they want to appeal to the LGBT society, so they allow those photos of gays, etc. But I agree, most of those photos are disgustingly perverse!
