Petra, The Rose – Red Lost City
I have always wanted to visit Petra although I didn’t have sufficient information on the “Lost City” itself or those who inhabited it.
I took a touristic car and the driver to Petra, a drive of Three and Half an hour going there and same coming back to Amman that is of course without the time spent there. It is vast, it is beautiful! It is amazing! I have a thing for ruins and ancient civilizations so after we came back to the city and for the rest of my stay I was so relaxed! It has this effect I swear.
For those of you who do not know about Petra, it was the capital of the [ Nabataean People ] , who carved their city into stones, including their tombs.. They worked in commerce and trading mostly. Petra has been used as a movie location like Indiana Jones! I am telling you, full of tourists on horses and camels and the Bedouins there look like they came out of a “Nemr Ben Adwan” cast with their kohl under their eyes..
I seriously advice you to go visit and spend a night, I didn’t though because I was alone there and you will enjoy the walk and all the details.. I have more than 200 pictures! I will just share those on the blog ;p and forgive me for the alignment but I can’t figure out this WP version ;/

I went there twice, such a serene and magical place; really worthy of the 7 wonders status..
but the drive to and from, as well as that looooong walk there was hell… xx
