A quick recap of Dubai’s short trip
I’ve been away during last weekend, we all thought being away from all the spray mayhem would make our lives better so we frantically looked for tickets and hotel reservations and 7amdella we got both like a day before! Salheya World Travels made our lives a living hell and Danata people are so professional and organized! I just love them.
Tell you the truth, my second visit to Dubai was an eye opening experience and now I am looking for a job there! I just love the “easy” life style and people mind their own business… It’s so simple! So, here is our trip by pics..

People waiting for their plane I guess – that was when we arrived at 1 am !

Our living room [ Angsana Dubai ]

Master Bedroom – Angsana Dubai

We had to try [ Wagamama ] – hmmm, 3ady !

We went on a desert safari via [ Alpha Tours ] and boooy it was GOOD !

I’ll have to give to you lady; handling the impossible divide between East and West. I mean, how do you jam to techno and house with a hijab on? Is it even possible?
You’re a trooper girl, and I wish you all the best :)
Your finest (male) tease :p

“Finest” I doubt! سبحان مغير الأحوال :$ Jamming and “Dubai-ing” in your own conventional sense of the word with all the bad meanings you are trying to associate applies only to those desperate people who go out of Kuwait to party like animals – you seem to confuse being a “moderate” muslim – Hejabi girl with someone who is trying her best to just push her way out of it and that’s not me. Hejab or even not having it on doesn’t erase your personality and fun in clean forms is do-able no! Division between East and West as you called it has nothing to do with religion, it’s a personal preference man. Things you like within normal social boundaries..
eh!

it’s a joke..
=========
Russian reversal or “In Soviet Russia” is a type of joke originated by Arte Johnson[citation needed] on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, and popularized by Smirnoff, and is an example of antimetabole. The general form of the “In Soviet Russia” joke is that the subject and objects of a statement are reversed, and “In (Soviet) Russia”, or something equivalent, is added. For example:
In America, you catch a cold.
In Russia, cold catches you!
In America, you can always find a party.
In Russia, The Party can always find you!

I was there last weekend, and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza: DCF. It was absolutely amazing! It was my first visit to Dubai, and I cried at Passport Control there on my way back to Kuwait. I didn’t want to come back home, and I don’t blame you for wanting to get a job there. Sucks that they’re going through a recession, no? :(
But seriously, I did cry at Passport Control. *sigh*

We had a rough time coming back and I am still in the “Dubai” mood – you know when you just leave the hotel and go walking in the street and grab a cab .. ahh it’s beautiful!
March 9th, 2009 at
I know, I know! *sigh* Ouff, it’s been EXACTLY a week to the second since I’ve been back. Oh how I miss Dubai…
