Ho Ho Ho!

I’ve gone bonkers! New news!?! Not really but I can’t help it guys and you have to take me with all the drama and the perkiness and here’s my post!

I have not changed my bedroom’s walls colors since 1999 and this weekend enshallah, I decided to connect to my wild side and paint it with those colors in the pictures below; You see I would love to go to South Africa on a safari but since the people I know are not “men” enough to travel with me and “Lood” thinks I attract rapists! :( <– lol, you freak! khalas, closest thing is to go “jungle” in the house!

jungle fever

I am so into Earth colors these days and I hope after the room is done and when the new furniture is in, I don’t change my mind – I’ve been living in technicolor for so long and I fear a strong anti reaction! The furniture I got from Safat Al Ghanem which is considerably well priced and next month, I will declare bankruptcy because I have to buy necessary accessories – I need a flat TV as well and Ipod speakers + a new rug + some tribal sorta like artwork + frames and and and… ;/ and after the main room is done, I have to fix the dressing area ba3dein my bathroom – oh my god – this sounds too much reading bas I am ready for marriage proposals guys! 3aroosa gahza men magamee3o! ayabaaaaay, mafeesh a7san men keda!

Enough about the bedroom and let me refresh your memory with the post about Rasha [ Mix FM ] and tell you how my day started :) – I woke up and the first thing I did was open the laptop to listen to their live stream and answer the daily question and before washing up my mobile rings – an unsaved number so I picked up:

Lady: Hi there is this Bana!?

Me: Yes!! <– hoarse sleepy voice

Lady: This is Sara from Mix FM, would you like to be on air with Rasha?

Me: *ding* !! YES of course!!

Lady: Hold on pls !

Me: *ding ding*, “me thinking on air ya3ny NOW”!? *la la laa laaalaa* <– that’s me on hold while thinking how bad I’ll sound early in the morning

After a couple of minutes wella Rasha is talking to me! I remember telling her that I answer her questions and that I just woke up and she asked me to read the post about my request to co-host her show and the screaming and excitement that our neighbors heard lol!

GUESS WHAT!! I WILL BE WITH RASHA IN HER STUDIO ON WEDNESDAY – MARCH 11th from 7 – 9 “I think” – she still didn’t tell me or I assume after having me on for 10 minutes, she will kick me out!  So yes! Being optimistic works – I was telling Skinny Bee that next week (this one I mean), I have to wake up early to head to Marina and be with Rasha and it happened! ohhhh 7afda7kom on air! :p After the phone call, Abed called her and a friend of mine called and asked: “What did you do now?! Why are they calling your name on the radio!” lol

So tune in on Wednesday :p – this might be your only chance to bash me on air!

Ok, let’s move on to work! I made peace with my anger from issues at work and it feels so good! I am finally getting a piece of that big cake that some have been slicing 3ala keifhom and 7amdellah I admire how “professional” I handle things (not all the time though) bas all in all, everything is falling together in the right place.

One last thing, since the majority from both sexes emphasize on external beauty, especially for marriage I wanted to ask both you girls – women and boys – men out there:

Let’s assume you find that special someone – your soul mate and by this I am talking about every single detail you’ve ever noted down when it comes to your partner’s looks and let’s say this partner suffers from a speech difficulty that you know is embarrassing or is mute or a hearing impairment (ya3ny, you either don’t know how they sound like or they can never hear the words you have to say) - how much would that play a role in your decision to embrace this person and adding him – her in your life ? can you rely on looks – touch – feelings without any sort of verbal expression to sustain a healthy long lasting relation? Would that make you look differently at that partner? use your imagination and think of situations like movies – a blind man dancing with his lover without knowing how she looks like.. A man dancing with his wife who is deaf and doesn’t really know what she’s doing except being in her husband’s arms.. Can such relations have a happy movie like magical ending in our extremely superfical world?

Today’s song:

Hmm.. This is hard. For now, I’d like to think that if I really loved someone, I would overlook the fact that they are blind/deaf/mute/disabled.. But maybe in real life, it can be pretty hard and can take a toll on our relationship and possibly change my feelings..

I think the best people to answer this question are people who are experiencing this situation. I know a relative who is married to someone that is mentally challenged. However, she says she loves him and they even have kids together, but she says its really hard sometimes because he’s not mentally stable.
