360 Kuwait: I just had to!!
*Throws confetti in the air* ! Ya happy people!? Yeeey! Another mall to spend the money that we barely make be6ala3an el 3ein or even worse, spend it stuffing our faces! 360 is opened now! Email shots, Facebook messages, status updates and BB alerts! All that for a round mall that has “gardens” indoors.
The structure is different since it’s round and it is huge especially the basement where they have Toys R Us (My favorite spot in 360 for the time being). they’ve got some new brands in there which will not appeal to the mass and it’s clear that they want it to be posh-y but seeing the amount of traffic and the type of crowd, I sit here devastated thinking what will become of this mall in a couple months ahead. I remember when Souq Sharq was the “IT” back in the days and I still like it because it’s easy to navigate – stroll through and for us women, comfort while shopping is very essential. I mean we go through our own circles as in we are very random and we need a straight strip of shops on each side :D ! I think it will be much nicer with the cafes located in the center of the mall are operational with the fountain and all the modern decor and I do pray to god they figure out a plan to avoid traffic jams!
So yeah, we walked around a bit after barely finding a parking spot for the car in the street AND WE GOT A TICKET FOR THAT! We tried Zahr El Laimon which was a total failure! Toys R Us was fun to walk in as well as Caribou which is the best thing in 360 besides B+F opening soon there! :)
Why was Zahr El Laimon not a positive experience to us?! Well everything was working fine with the fattoush and the spicy potatoes cubes and the juice. I liked the theme and the way they served the dishes – juices but I was so tempted to order shawerma cuz everyone else around us did! We get the dish and the first thing I ask for is ketchup and guess what!? they don’t serve it! :o How could they!!! I only eat everything WITH ketchup! Skip ketchup and let me try to describe the shawerma meat: it’s not shawerma first of all I think they call it 2awerma – chunks of meat which was hard to chew and the whole sandwich needed taheena and tomatoes fa that was X-ed on the spot! The grills were tasteless – needed salt and KETCHUP and again I need to mention that the meat shoqaf were hard to chew. Problem was that we got the main course after almost 35 minutes and that was after we inquired about the order and even worse, the waitress goes like: “They forgot about it” :$ ! Okkkk! We could have simply left as we made an early judgement based on the shawerma taste but I insisted and all I can say is it could be much much much better!
Excuse me for the bad quality of pics taken by my E71

laser wall inside

This is actually very cute and soothing to look at – real plants

Virgin Mary :p

Fattoush and cubed spicy potatoes were good at Zahr El Laimon

Mixed grills platter was not what I expected at all

Zahr il Laymoon sat us at a table that was really dirty
Table next to us was a family whose screaming boys were residing underneath the table instead of over it
and then the waiter simply comes and tells us that if we want to sit and order… we must not expect our dishes to arrive before 35 minutes… o inna ma badna in3athebkom… bema3na akhar y3ni get up and leave we won’t service u anything o u have been warned
so we did just that… i was angry… if ur not ready to open o u have no food in ur kitchen then don’t open. Perioud!!!!
Umph

Thank you for your review! We are planning to stop by Zahr El Laimon this week to give it a try. Now, I know what to say away from or at least try different things on the menu :)

We were not told that the food will take that much time so we were like “hit us with shawerma” bas I insisted! Maybe cuz it’s newly opened?!

Sounds… interesting.
Is 360 worth the visit or is it no different to the exclusive malls in Kuwait so far?

Maybe they did not expect this load of people on their first days. I will let you know of our experience … en shaa’a Allah :)
What about that Indian restaurant (right behind Zahr El Laimon) spice bar? It has the same owner; did anyone give it a try?

ENOUGH malls! I just get sick when I hear about a new shopping center opening in Kuwait. What’s there to be proud of and all happy about? concerete everywhere. The same damned stores in every mall.
I can go on and on about how we must spend our money on improving the country..but I’ll stop here and leave the raving for you :P

I can’t believe my eyes, another lady that does have distaste for concrete malls.Other than moi that is.

I like malls and shopping however, I do not think our lives should revolve around spending all the money we make in’em ! Also, I like spacious malls with multiple activities like Dubai malls for instance .. you can never get bored

Hi,
Go to http://www.blog.com.kw and try it out and tell me what do you think about it, it’s a new idea for everyone in Kuwait to post any topic in Text or Video, they call it Micro-blogging.
It would be nice if you blog about it :)
Thanks,
Ali

U missed the gardens and the fountains outside. They are real treat to the eyes. One of best combinations of greenery and architecture.
