KACCH

If you don’t know, [ KACCH ] stands for Kuwait Association for the care of children in hospital. From their name and their mission statement:

Kuwait Association for the Care of Children in Hospital (KACCH) advocates for the provision of optimal conditions for children and their families in hospital in order to reduce the adverse effects of hospitalisation on their development and well-being.

you would be able to know what kind of activities these “hardcore” volunteers do around hospitals in Kuwait and of course, visit the link provided for further information or to volunteer / donate in any way possible if you wish! My company has been generous enough this year to allocate an amount for purchasing gifts as 3edeya for kids in hospitals and boooy oh boooy I loooove shopping! ESPECIALLY, at Fantasy World! Seeing all the Barbie dolls almost brought me to tears lol – Yo, my birthday is on Jan. 13th *hint*

I must say, it is agonizing to be away from the AC in this heat – “melted Santa” is what I felt like and by the time I left Amiri Hospital khalaaaassssss I felt like ripping off my clothes men el araf! I took a few snaps just for documentation since this will not be publicized in newspaper since it’s an act of philanthropy ..

car I had to shove the bike rack in the front!

carHad to put the car seats down as well

carVoila! The car trunk loaded!

I drove like a maniac to get to Amiri on time with all the traffic madness during Ramadan and the ladies there helped me along the porters with the items but going in and out of the hospital was scary, people with masks on and the stench there ewwww midst the stupid swine flu pandemic! You should see the basement!!!!! Seriously, SERIOUS renovations required there and allah yesa3ed the patients there and I hope I don’t catch the stupid swine flue *shivers* and for that reason, visitors wishing to drop by as a good will gesture like we did before [ HERE ] are not allowed out of fear of spreading the infection. There was more than gifts but it’s all we could do to give back in return and be thankful of what we have….

Thank you Mr. Joe!

Yeeey, eid’s around the corner kids! :)

Chikapappi I want you to get a hold of this and let your imagination go wild with enthusiasm: Joe Cocker singing the song “You are so beautiful to me,can’t you see” tears running down my face. And brave too, yohoo! In other words you are fantastic.I wonder if I could go to Saint Jude Hospital in Tennessee and do that too, except I would want to wrap all the presents and decorate and write messages to each and every hurting child and their mothers. Thanks for the inspiration me.
