Awtar Libnan: Crappy Delivery, even worse bad client handling!
Imagine… you ordering food from a place you like prior to Iftar almost an hour n’ half and wait for the delivery to arrive bas sadly enough for the household it never does LA2 o el aswa2 is the confusion the stupid driver caused and what the person answering the phone at Awtar was blabbering just to save the moment! ya3ny, clients are not stupid and we always order from there so they have no excuse..
I wrote about it before and how good the food is as well as the atmosphere bas I guess one bad incident is going to change my mind forever!! Mom ordered at around 4:30 because she decided not to cook today and until 6:05 the guy was not here so after many calls to the restaurant I asked her to get his number so we’ll speak to him. First time he answered he said 10-15 minutes..
After 15 minutes.. again 15 minutes!! I called himself:
Me: Hello “7abeebee” <– lol – you said 15 minutes 15 minutes ago and now you say more 15 minutes!
Prem <– his actual name: Yes madam I am in Mishref
Me: You were in Mishref 15 minutes ago why are you late?!
Prem: Madam, food in bags fell in the car
Me: *silence* umm.. ok, how many minutes?!
Prem: …………… MAM, I am on the way
Me: Ok, let’s hope it’s not our food that fell in the car! BYE
I picked up the phone and called Firas at the restaurant
Me: Firas, I am Mona’s daughter what happened to our food… yada yada yada (about what Prem told me)
Firas: ba3do ma ejaaa (He still didn’t arrive at your place)?!
Me: NO and he said 15 minutes and my issue is the food that’s all over the car, I mean I dont want to get a missing order while the majority here are fasting
Firas: No I will check and call on your land line
15 minutes later and after my father came back from the mosque.. FOOD IS MIA! I called Prem again and I used “The tone” to inquire about his whereabouts and he was quiet and his only reply is “on the way” fa ommy called Awtar AGAIN and as she was talking to Firas I snatched the phone and I go like: “ya3ny pls, we ordered ahead of time and you’re saying only 3 deliveries Rumaitheya, Mishref and us at South Surra so why the delay?!”
Turns out that the stupid driver gave our food by mistake to another family and only thing Firas suggested is that we take the appetizers!! ALSO, I asked him if he were in my shoes and the deliver of IFTAR was late would he have paid supposedly for appetizers only!!? He said no he wouldn’t .. bellah 3aleik! e7lef!!
Last thing I told the guy was to let the driver return and eat the food they sent to us cuz we do not want to wait and aslan, I wouldnt want to eat cold missing food.
I wrote about Awtar before [ HERE ] and I’ve always been its advocate bas after today I say YUKH 3al delivery service, yukh 3al attitude and to the way they respond to “crisis” and yukh to how they value their clients by saying something stupid like: “If you want come to the restaurant”!
Maskhara no?! and what’s up with the internet connection in South Surra!!? It’s too god damn slow!

I agree, it’s the worst restuarant ever in Kuwait, 3ama b3eenhom o 3ala their service!!! we’ve ordered yesterday from them at work and it took them 2:40 to deliver the food!!!!!! can you imagine!!! wallah if it was in KSA it would hv arrived before that time?! what the hell!!! and the same STUPID driver Prem was also lying to us by saying im at your building for more than 1 hr!!! seriously?! everytime i call him “maam i’m at your building” . . . “what are you doing in my building, dancing??!” that was exactly what i said!!!!! damn them, that will be the last time i order from them! malat 3alehom o 3ala ma63mhom el5ayes ezft o 3ala their staff foghom ba3ad . . . Plz B approve my post coz im so pissed off :D
