Happy – Not so happy clients – 1st Birthday Wataniya Airways :)

God look at how huge that jpg is! Well, I wanted to emphasize on the fact that today is Watanyias 1st birthday – so after blowing all the candles and the jolly singing I want to talk about my terrible night or should I say morning trying to access their website to book a damn ticket although it’s only my second time. I usually book through Danata which are amazing when it comes to airfares and hotels but because of Wataniya’s [ Facebook group ], I went insane throughout yesterday morning and I couldn’t wait to book! I need a couple of days of you see to clear my head and meet the extended family again ;) but I guess no Wataniya up to now (I will call Danata) and I am going on Wataniya so help them god!

First of all I like Wataniya because it’s not as packed as Jazeera which I tried once and that’s not gonna happen again. Then their crew which is great and sweet so why do this!? Turn into another Jazeera! Keep your standards ya akhy and celebrate with clients who often travel with you by calling them or sending special cards or offers first! Diwan you say? uhaaa ok! They have our emails and contacts and we never heard from them.

Then comes their hotline- I ALWAYS GET AN ERROR TONE and if it goes through we stay on hold for a decent amount of time! EH

So we established 2 facts:

1. Hotline not working properly

2. Data center for their clients mafi

Why!? They are good! They are fancy! they are luxurious but we don’t have to feel like they are humiliating us for their tickets / flights! First time I tried their website currency of tickets were in US$ and when I got to the bank page and clicked to have it deducted I got the message that NBK doesn’t take dollars! which is crazy because I use my cards outside. Yesterday fares were in KD and when I FINALLY GOT SOMETHING, the amount KD 33.800 was deducted from my account THEN REIMBURSED! I totally gave up. I gave the guy-girl handling the group my ref# and nothing was done :)

My sister was with me online and from her computer she got this screen shot after the website finally started working and it shows that all promotional fares were sold out! How is that possible since the website crashed from 11:30 and it opened only before she took the shot o already sold out!?!! HOW DID THESE PEOPLE BOOK SO FAST!? EFFFF

So I skipped work today because I slept really late and I have a headache but all we got from them is this response :) Not valid at all and not a professional response at all and I never was as angry as I am right now with a public service provider. Mazen is not happy as well [ HERE ] bottom line, do not make online offers when you can’t handle it, leave that to Jazeera ;)

Wataniya Airways We are humbled by the reception we’ve got from the public, we’ve received a huge amount of phone calls and hits on our website and people stormed our offices trying to take advantage of the birthday fare. There are certainly much more than 11,000 people who want to travel and we regret that we might have disappointed some guests as some seats on popular routes such as Beirut and Cairo ran out in the first hours of the offer.

    it is not all… three weeks now … and you cannot reach there call center at any time during the day , they do not reply on emails… if you want to follow up on anything you cannot … you should visit them in the airport :) rja3na 3al 3assaer l 7ajaraaa… a very big mistake .. iahd also a very bad experience wataniya really… which i will not talk about because it will frustrate me .. you got fustrated and angry for one day .. wataniya made me frustrted for three weeks ina row…..

    anyways , this diplomatic answer will not clean the dissatisfaction of so amny customer , that see you now worse than jazeera …
