What to do when your baby falls on the head!?
It was such a terrible moment, I can still hear that BANG when I decided to turn my back on baby for less than a second while she was on my bed and I made sure she was away from the edges but she managed to move and budge her way so I swore that I would be extra careful specially if I have to do something and she’s with me.
All I remember was picking her off the floor, running around the house like a mad woman not knowing what to do, who to call, how to react! It was a disaster and what made it worse was deciding whom to contact first! All I knew is that they were all going to go angry at me so I started to calm the baby down trying to see if she’s drowsy or if she’s throwing up since it’s one of the signs of having a brain concussion which means it’s an emergency – god forbid this happens again but I was so stupid not to have read about such incidents knowing that children are prone to falling injuries mostly when they start to move around. We monitored her for the next couple of days at my parents house and thank God she was ok – we tried to check all her senses mostly eye movement, hearing as well as her body for bruises just because we were all sick worried. You never know HOW precious your child is till something malicious – evil – disgusting occurs. I later remembered to search Baby Center for more information on head injuries and this link was useful to me and I hope it will be for another new mom out there [ LINK ]
I am currently now planning to childproof my house and NO it is not early because my young one is hyper active and there are many things which need to be off the ground – stored in boxes – given away :/ just to make the house safe and ready for her to discover the place.. Any ideas – tips – advice you mamas out there could share with me?
Even though I’m a superstitious person, I’ve never had to let the baby wear a special evil eye amulet – hmm, only once maybe because it’s better if I just recite some Quran verses in my heart or say Masha2 allah loud when someone makes a comment about her just to ward off any bad eye.
And because I strongly believe in Allah’s protective eyes over my daughter; I decided to post her photo here because I want her to be the biggest part of this blog
*TIFF TIFF TIFF* <– Evil eye spit ! Masha2 allah too! Alma’s 6 months going on 7 God willing
Question: When will my daughter have a full set of hair!? lol ! It’s growing but she totally looks like a “Hammoudi” without a band or beanie ! :/ which reminds me, some stupid people still ask “HOW OLD IS YOUR BOYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!” OMG – SHE HAS EARRINGS ONNNNN for crying out loud!

Who would get angry at you dear? Yes, babies need to sleep in cribs with the rail up and have their belts fastened on in their baby buggies,I’ve been a highly paid professonal baby sitter since the age of 8.And as good as I am,two babis fell out of their baby buggies while I pushed them at 17 and around 11,they suffered minor concussions and did not need treatments, one child fell down the stairs as I was babysitting, but thank God suffered no harm.Children need to be watched like hawks by an extremly responsible person at all times.

Wow Krystal! WOW! My only fear is when I resume duty and leave the baby to the nanny. If I, the mom did such a mistake how would she react if she encounters that! :o omggggg
-Jess jess: So far ok, today am not as merry as yesterday she kind of did something which I cant interpret but I need to lay off and chill, stop assuming that she’s up to no good.

That’s why I would never hire a nanny myself if I had little children now,but we are all so different. That’s good that you study her to make sure she is resposible and will know what to do in an emergency, and that you can trust her,I think making her your girl-friend instead of making her feel like a maid will take care of all your problems actually.

Besmellah masha2 allah! Allah ya7fe9′ha o ykhaleha lekom.
I remember having such a panic! And it wasn’t because she fell, but because my nephew had a jealousy moment and he grapped a somewhat-hard plastic toy and hit my daughter on the head like if he was going to win a prize just if he hits hard enough!
Bas sob7an allah, god protects those kids in a way I guess just makes us strengthen our believe in allah. El 7emdellah rab el 3alameen your daughter is safe enshallah :)
Man do I want to commemt on ur nanny post but it’s just too late, so to,orrow enshallah I’ll tell u my “nannies” stories ;)

No good or bad can happen to anyone without Allah’s will.
Remember this and just relax.
Beautiful baby, may Allah keep her well. Ameen.

Hi.. I have a baby boy who us 10 months old. He is also very very very active and fell on his head from the bed 15 days back. But in this case the mistake ws my hubby,s as he ws responsible at that time to take care of the baby. I also panicked like u.started shouting at him and running around d house :)..But alls well now and he doesn’t hav any after effects.thank god.
As for the hair, i had d exact opposite problem. My baby boy was born with so much hair every1 used to think that he is a girl :). His hair used to cum to eyes. I was so scared that it might affect his vision. So as soon as he turns 8 months my hubby took him to the barber and had his hair removed by machine. That is the best solution i think. Hav ur baby’s hair removed, it wil cum bak in a couple of months and will be thinker and better than before.:)
And yes u hav a beautiful baby…sooo cute.

Thank you Orange :)
- Hi Riya :( thank you for the comment and God bless you active baby, mine is hyper! I was sooo guilty but we are now extra careful with her.
As for the hair, I was told to shave it off as well but i refused! Poor baby’s confused with a boy! lol she is Blond and not that thick like my hair so I guess we’ll have to be patient and try to make her head look pretty! ;p
