Yeah, that’s me gone “BONKERS” !

I had a chat with the sweet lady behind BonkerBox and I sincerely apologize for not catching your name since I was too excited to try the booth out! :p I told her that I never heard of it but I remembered that a couple of bloggers wrote about BonkerBox – visit their FB page [ HERE ]  and it was a fun idea to try out during our gathering at Ruby Tuesday’s for bloggers ( A long post later on this gathering ).

Man, bloggers went bananas over the booth and props! I just thought we’d get colored photos but it doesn’t make a difference since the fun moment was captured :)

I’ve always wanted to do ONE thing for a long time and while we were at the Avenues, I dropped by [ Build-A-Bear ] (Phase 2 upper floor) & gladly fulfilled my fantasy:

ONE

Head towards the hair accessories stand and picked up a suitable wig for the kid, in this case the Light Brown was fine  – she’s too young to go Madonna on us!

TWO

Miraculously placed wig on kid’s head and snapped as much photos as we can before she pulled it away and into her mouth! Ha Ha! Mashallah it suits her well ;)

P.S: That shop is way too cute! Y’all, specially with kids gotta try it out soon… Oh! Make sure you have enough money cuz your avarage teddy + accessories would not be less than KD 20!

We head to the ice skating rink waaaaay too early because we anticipated that it’s gonna be packed and yes it sure was and I stood there with my belly and the kitty heels ;o just wanting to sit down (people now have no decency to seat a pregnant woman down) ! Believe it or not, it’s my first time EVER inside the rink or to a Hala February event in it and it’s fair to say that it was “ok” except for the seats which are really uncomfortable.

I really like watching magic – illusions hence I am hooked on [ Breaking the Magicians Code show ] and I understand now how some of these tricks are done ;) but watching Jay Mattioli [ website ] was fun because he’s interactive, smart and is soooo hyper! I can say that I really enjoyed his show although it was more for a younger audience and I digged the music – I was dancing in my seat ( and yes as Jay said: People in the cheap section because we were like half way in the area dedicated for the show) . There were other illusionists who were quite good as well but Jay was the star.

Sadly enough, we were not allowed to take pics or videos although we were not informed of that ahead and of course, we don’t want to end up being sued by the event organizer!

OOOOH, I forgot to MAKE SURE ALL KNOW THAT this was the first weekend elly I don’t have visitors! YEHA! Not that I don’t want people to visit or drop over but it’s been hectic! Cleaning, food, presentation, late sleeping… etc my first goal of sleeping 10+ hours has been successful and now I am working on the 2nd goal and noooo it’s not what you might  think it is @@. I had only a couple over at Thursday and of course we had to think of something for so7oor. Salads and something light, cheese cubes + grapes, coffee sweets, canapes which were “ok” but the cheese mushed it up :/ and of course since I am an FB addict I landed on a group called [ Kiwi Bakery ]  and I liked their pictures honestly so I gave them a call and ordered on Tuesday for Thursday. After work I had to drop by to pay it off and check the place up myself to avoid any embarrassment in front of my guests.

They have a nice seating area inside and I was telling the husband that one day we try eating there

Kiwi Bakery’s address

Cool so far!? I paid 18,5 KD including the delivery charge because they don’t have this service as of yet ( by the way Kiwi, the order came late from Mr. Delivery :( ) The portion was big because I was expecting 2 couples but here’s what I got when I received my order

Boxes are nice and practical

Saj rolls with different fillings – my guests liked them, hubby tried most of them and I also ignored my dietitian’s program and gave them a taste. Good but it’s missing some kind of sauce.. I can’t place my finger on what’ missing just to make them rolls perfect like they should be = doesn’t mean they were bad, I am just giving my personal opinion and the dips on the side are good of course but for me a saj roll has to be “wet”

Mr. Delivery brought them cakes mushed up kinda since the dividers are missing from the box and I had to fix them for the picture, the ones shown on FB non the less the cake was delicious especially the mini pumpkin cake and the date cheesecake *drools*

Would I reorder from Kiwi Bakery? Yes of course especially with the new items on their menu like the casseroles and healthy items. Not only that, they can custom make cakes and for more details contact them! With what’s above I served:

and I finally FINALLY watched the ads at the ADEaters night which took place yesterday February 9th at KNCC’s movie theaters at Avenues and I had a blast inside specially with that clapper thing lol! I laughed so hard and my boss was sitting next to me probably thinking “OMGGG” ! heck, I loved the screening!

Now, you know I love to rant and get the negativity out so here are my 2 cents:

1. One day event in a closed area with tickets either sold or passed on as invites is still a mistake! Students with professional and marketeers were all over each other; It was packed! Last year they had a day for VIPs and the second day was for people who bought the tickets

They actually used a pop up stand!

2. Zain had a very humble display – booth although their ads were all over the place as well as their goody bags and commercials on the screens outside the actual screening rooms, it wasn’t like last year. Wonder if they’re cutting cost or is that because of Sa’ad Al Barrak’s resignation ;p

3. There was a good number of sponsors of course and I totally fell in love with a new canned chilled latte from Nescafe, wonder if it’s available in market!? bas it was really good! chocolate, popcorn, sushi, pringles, buffet which SUCKED – probably because it’s a barter deal bas it was baaaaaaaad

4. I still have an issue with the stage setting and the damn fog machine man! I hatttttttte that stinkin’ smell

5. I think it’s cool when people actually sponsor an event, whether actually paying or by offering services – products but some things were :$ – if you know what I mean!

I just remembered to write about the ads screening!!

1. they said 7:30 and it started at 8, I was hungry!

2. There should have been alike a chronological order of the ads, they started with ads of 2008 – then a couple of crazy African ads from the 70s loool, then they moved to awareness commercial! I was confused! They should have categorized it in a different way because I didn’t watch the second part of the ads ;/

3. The intermission came on after like an hour or more… I was dyiiiiing in my chair :$ they should have had a break every half an hour putting into consideration that people have work next day, people were stuck outside.. people need to eat or go to the toilet maybe without missing anything!

4. After the first half both organizers, sponsors also attendees started leaving! did anyone stay till the very end for the show!!??

5. I loveeeed the Egyptian TVCs

6. The only Kuwaiti TVC was played and I didn’t get a single word from it!
