I usually start changing her wardrobe and buy ahead, onesies, Pjs, jeggings, pants, head accessories, dresses.. you name it! I store them in her closet which is about to burst, again till she has her room room – but I seriously can’t restrain myself from buying her outfits! Lord, the shoes! She has so many! Not to mentioned what we have stashed up from her old stuff. I will giveaway what we don’t need and in condition & the rest are for memory.

En sha2 allah, I will not allow anyone to stop me from getting my girl butt naked in fear of heat! My mom wouldn’t let me dress her in sleeveless items cuz she’s “too young” but no sir! Not this time! I bought this Guess dress yesterday and she’ll fit them fine in June or May around her birthday <3

I was dying to buy her a 2 piece swimsuit and man told me that he wants to pick one for her so he got her Speedos! :) o one piece! We want to see flesh baba! They’re so adorable & I love the colors but I saw a Hello Kitty 2 bikini over  at H&M and am getting them real soon too ;p come on baba! 2 are never enough!

Baby shopping is agonizing! Everything I see is nice and is a “must” get piece :( I usually get her onesies from [ Next ], great value, greater quality! [ H&M ] has cute stuff. [ Bluezoo ]is cute as well and my favorite’s [ Mothercare ]. [ One Moment's ] ok when they’re on sale for the big brands but Juicy Couture is adorable! <3 She has a training suit and it’s CUTE! which will also fit just fine in by May enshallah. Other than those, day to day pjs I get from Max or CenterPoint as well as the undergarments, you see with the washing one has to buy good quality… Babies don’t come  cheap man! Allah ye7meha o we can give her our all & the best.

My mom of course interfered and told me that we should buy her some special shoes to help her feet develop and balance up for the walking process. I did some online reading on Baby Center and turns out that shoes have nothing to do with feet development, more like protection for outdoor activities when babies start walking and they prefer that baby goes around barefoot. I honestly keep her socks on indoors just to keep her feet clean and we have marble so it’s cold I think for her; Besides, that keeps me for tickling her all the time :) and since moms know best, I listened to mama & asked the man to search for good shoes in Dubai as he was there last week and to my surprise he did an excellent job of buying 2 pairs of cute shoes for Alma’s first steps! I think someone helped him though ;p

It’s too much to think of, you’ve got flooring, wall decor, lighting, toys, furniture color, bedding, TV set :p baby proofing.. etc.. what worries me most is the damage I’d do to my wallet, or to the man’s to be completely honest :F

Moms in Kuwait, You have got to try this because I am so pleased with the whole experience offered by Mothercare Kuwait!

Last week while sitting bored at office and with the 21st coming up (My daughter was born on 21st of May) so every month we tend to “celebrate” this day and I buy her an item.. or 2! I decided to check Mothercare’s website [ HERE ] with their newly launched online purchase portal. I checked all the sections (some of which need more additions like clothes) and I was content as a mother since one can find the majority of necessities for babies. I laid my eyes on this item [ Chicco Quatro 4 in 1 ] since we established the fact that she wants to move & she hates her stroller & I placed my order.

Unfortunately for me, I kept trying to checkout from my shopping bag but each time I forgot to check the “Credit Card” option so that failed twice and I got a call from one of their call center agents which was very efficient trying to figure out what went wrong and I finally came around. 3 days after that I have the item at home and she likes it!

The nice thing about this Pink car is that it works as a rocking chair, walker, push cart & a regular car which she can manage on her own when she starts to properly walks so this is the last thing on wheels am buying this kid! I swear!  I also think it’s cool & flexible enough to take to malls instead of the stroller.

Now, YES I loved Mothercare’s service but what is ridiculous is the home delivery fee they charge which is KD 5! I’d say that’s way too much and they should consider lowering it down or even waving it off for purchases exceeding a certain amount. I chose to pick the item up from the store nearest to me without extra charges AND with that KD 5 buy her other things – moms check their new collection WAAAAAY TOO CUTE! However, service wise Mothercare staff are very helpful & sweet; Dolores at Plaza branch was very kind to carry the box though I could’ve done that myself and she insisted so Thank you Dolores if you ever manage to get around this post :)

My husband & I a couple of months back were off to Marina Mall when he decided to check their store next to The One – I recall he wanted to buy a pair of shoes for his father and as I was waiting for him my eyes fell on the rack / shoes display and I picked one, the McCall, Beige in color – nude perhaps they call it. I could not believe that there was anything on my foot the instant I had them on!! Very very light, comfortable and it’s like walking on a smooth ground! “I’m taking those” I confirmed! To my surprise, man also picked a pair off their men collection at the time and it looks elegant. I never thought I’d see such models by Crocs! They even make’m with heels! <– I wouldn’t go that far unless it makes my feet look REALLY good since us women care about that only.

I bet like a lot of you, I kept on receiving email shots on deals on Souq.com; Curious as I am- I decided to register and I actually scanned each section as well as items till I laid my eye on this product:

I decided to get out my purse, punch in my plastic’s number to purchase it for Alma since she’s been showing interest in holding the spoon and plate while feeding her and if you don’t know how this works, check the video [ HERE ]

Fine so far right?! Amount (KD 5 only) was deducted from my Visa and I sat there waiting for some sort of conformation via email or phone but nothing happened! Suddenly I received 3 different confirmation receipts with totally different numbers! @@ That’s’ when i started jumping in my seat and looked but a number to contact them. 22248700 was pathetic, no one picks up besides their IVR system which is badly recorded BTW! As far as other contacts I found that they have offices outside of Kuwait and that’s when my heart sank to my feet :I I was like this is a scam specially after using my credit card!

like half an hour after, phone rang and one of their agents confirmed my order and I asked: “When am I getting it?” He replied: “Today no, Friday Saturday vacation so 2 working days which means Monday”

Weekend passed by, Sunday went bye so did Monday! And I was home because of the flu so I was waiting for any sign! After giving up I sent this and I seriously meant every word and I was worried

I was so pissed off due to their negligence and disrespect to their own delivery policy

You see, it was my first time – probably the last time because of that PERSON who engaged with me on this email thread! I was going to do other purchases but I thought to myself when I secure this simple item and test their client servicing then I might go ahead and knock myself out online shopping. Of course in between those emails I was on the phone waiting for someone to answer!

In cold blood, this person sends me this as a reply! Not acceptable, WHY?

1. Greeting – whole email style is poor wala punctuation wala nothing!
2. When a client sends an email from the first time you answer on the spot.
3. You’re supposed to be professional not as casual with clients using slang “you gonna”! <– Yo Yo !
4. Your answer wasn’t helpful since I know it’s been confirmed DUH!
5. According to your delivery policy, my item should have been at my doorstep on Monday MAX. noon time and you dare even mention a Wednesday! @@
6. I freaking paid my money ahead not upon delivery so I get some priority!

I was raging after this so I started being rude!

Yes I called them thieves and as a bad desperate strategy I even lied! :@ When you promise your clients something better make sure you can fulfill it! I really ticked off by bad client servicing.

And you guessed it right! NO ONE CALLED OR EVEN BOTHERED!

I left the mobile expecting a phone call to explain this or apologize at least for the delay but no one called and when I checked I found an email (which I can’t find in my inbox) but it clearly said and I am quoting this person:

You can cancel your order :) and we will return the money

AIWA! Mo ana sha77ata! AIWA! Yeah, RETURN MY 5 KD! Instead of being professional enough to apologize and go check on the matter then get back to me you advise me to cancel! la2, you know what I thought after this!? KEEP the damn 5 KD but I won’t spare you my mouth! I actually replied saying “Go ahead, make my day and cancel the order”! <- I can’t find this email thread at all! :@

Hmmmm! My reply was long – honest and I basically told him -her that they can go ahead and blacklist me if they want because they’d be crazy to think I would do any business with them in the future especially with this type of replying! la2 o el “regards” is the best part of this reply!

And most importantly of course is the threatening! I might be one of the nicest “worst” clients they might ever have to handle and this is what they reply with!? tsk tsk tsk! I didn’t give a crap honestly after that instead, I asked Oleana for the same item and she told me that’s in her next shipment so I booked one.

Yesterday around 3esha prayer (I think) I got a phone call from an unsaved number and I usually don’t pick up but this time I did. Hi’s and Hello’s Guy introduces himself as Youssef from Souq.com @@ – Was very quiet and relaxed on the phone and he asked if I had ordered something! I was like “ana fashakht el bala6 eb your employee over emails” = I gave your guy a hard time for my order – and last thing I know that it got canceled!! he assured me that it wasn’t and I got to dish out on the whole incident. Like a decent professional gentleman he apologized on behalf of his colleagues and started explaining… Now, I told him I don’t buy this excuse at all but them being under pressure because of their iPhone – iPad deal is not my issue, all I wanted instead is a follow up email – call and I would have been quiet. Thanks Mr. Sha’arawi for the phone call and for tolerating me over the phone, I know you are trying to do your best. :)

To cut this short, I got my Gyro bowl!

I am totally aware that this in the hands of my daughter will not be 100% spill proof but I think it’s a good option! It comes with a lid on for protection.

I’ve always wanted to do ONE thing for a long time and while we were at the Avenues, I dropped by [ Build-A-Bear ] (Phase 2 upper floor) & gladly fulfilled my fantasy:

Head towards the hair accessories stand and picked up a suitable wig for the kid, in this case the Light Brown was fine  – she’s too young to go Madonna on us!

Miraculously placed wig on kid’s head and snapped as much photos as we can before she pulled it away and into her mouth! Ha Ha! Mashallah it suits her well ;)

P.S: That shop is way too cute! Y’all, specially with kids gotta try it out soon… Oh! Make sure you have enough money cuz your avarage teddy + accessories would not be less than KD 20!

Her first eid was in Lebanon with my in-laws and it was fun to see all the family gathered around the tiny bundle of joy addition and have her dressed up and passing eideyyas to her and she likes money one could clearly see ;p This eid we are spending it with her grandparents here and hopefully we manage to take her out and enjoy this weather while it lasts.

I was thinking of eideyas – giveaways besides cash to hand to our neighbors’ kids because mashallah, they are a total of 10! @@ and I honestly don’t know how much to give to strangers then I suddenly had this crazy idea of making souvenirs that symbolize this eid – a sheep and have it filled with candy and I head to Bayya3 el Ward in Hawally to check if I could find something similar. I spent like an hour to bring together the items which made the cute giveaways which both my sister & I worked on for and have Alloumi’s name on :)

I first found the cute porcelain sheep then quickly snatched those boxes – Green meadows for the sheep to be glued on.

In the same building you could find chocolatiers and since I was in a hurry I got some Jordan almonds and crispy chocolates matching the theme of the giveaway

I then picked organza for wrapping the whole thing with matching labeled ribbons and separate daisies for the final touch

Got some ready made cards for the occasion and had them glued on with a darker colored ribbon on the side

And that’s the result of the hard filled with love labor !

Only downside to the whole thing was the having the text printed on the ribbons be upside down because we just suck at wrapping!

We’ve been struggling with her sleep pattern which was miraculously  fixed when we traveled to Lebanon and thank God now she sleeps all night so do I! Every week is a new challenge because she manifests new abilities and since last week I’ve noticed how she holds her feet and moves them up towards her mouth and starts sucking on her toes! TOO CUTE! Teething is a bitch, it makes her cranky – she bites on everybody’s finger as well as her teether and I need to ask you moms out there if there’s a way to calm her down without resulting to medication?!

Another thing that I am glad happened is my baby being weaned off milk.. I felt guilty at the beginning but that’s how my body works and I wasn’t lactating enough and some people seriously got on my nerves giving me lectures on how important it is to breast feed when it’s completely out of my hands and I am happy that she had her share for almost 2 months when I went dry. We’re on formula now and lately I’ve noticed it hasn’t been enough so in Lebanon we introduced fruits and boy oh boy she went nuts! She adores grapes!! I couldn’t believe it but she was so happy sucking on the grape as well as watermelon and when we came back I thought I’d cut her off but her grandpa cheated and he prepares some grape juice to drink so mama & I were discussing bringing out the baby food processor and start with solids when I read a tweet from @Oleana about the [ Wean Machine ] and  I instantly ordered it and after the 2nd day of trials, I can say that it’s the best mommy invented device! I love itttttttttttttttttttt! I just fed her some peaches with a dash of milk and she’s sleeping ! Wohoooo !

I know some might say it’s too early since she’s 4 months old now but I’ve noticed milk ain’t enough and after researching about it online, we took the decision to go slowly and diverse her meals and have her used to different tastes and she’s not complaining.. so far! there are some food which we have to avoid but I am sticking to recipes I got online as well a small booklet which I got from [ Oleana ] and it’s soooo darn easy to use!!!

I got the machine itself which comes with 2 grills and a spoon and got an extra pack of accessories just in case as well as the recipes book. Check this [ Video ] to see how it to works!

I bought those two clothes items for a great deal, massage oil, rubber ducky and the diaper disposal bags which are essential in her diaper bag.

I alsoooo got her this adorable headband since she’s “9al3a” for now :* some people still ask if she’s a boy :I ! headbands are crucial at this stage till people begin to pay enough attention that she has earrings on for god’s sake!
